I saw this up on TDF. I know it hasn't opened yet, but wondering what the word of mouth is on this? Haven't heard much- wondering if I should grab tickets?

Word of mouth is that this show may not make it to opening night. I've heard from my sources that ticket sales are awful and they are starting to get desperate

I have not seen there tv ads in awhile so maybe they felt it was not doing anything so why waste the money. Not expecting this to last long

I picked up a TDF ticket for the 23rd. I'm excited, it seems like a lot of fun. It definitely won't last long though.

I saw this show off-Broadway a couple of years ago and absolutely loved every goofy, silly, mirror-ball minute of it. Jennifer Simard's hilarious portrayal of a nun with a problem is not to be missed; glad she is in the transfer.

Agree about Jennifer Simard...she managed to get a Drama Desk nomination for a show as lightweight as this, which I think is saying something. I hope it runs long enough for Tony voters to see her... she was that good back then. If you can score a really cheap seat just to watch her, it's worth it.

This is our intention. Seeing Snow White tonight. Hopefully, we can make it thru the incense. If not, we are out of there real quick.

I am hoping this catches on. I feel like this could be the next Xanadu. You know this cast is going to deliver. I also smell a Tony nod for Simard if this holds out.
I hope to see it in April.

For those of you who have seen this.... Is it appropriate for teenagers?
Have a 12 and 16 year old...

It's a limited run, guys. Ends in July. The cast will sell tickets too. It'll be fine.

You'd think that such a giant gamble would have more engaging marketing. The whole thing seems to be sold by the names, none of which are names outside the circles who would watch Seth's Chatterbox? The art is just dismal. I like Rudetsky and wish the show the best; hopefully will catch it.

If this is true, I'm sorry to hear it but then maybe the producers should allow people to buy something other than absolute garbage seats with the discount code on their mailer. I was ready to buy $89.00 tickets but when I went online, only the very worst seats in the house are available with the code, even though the rest of the theatre in every night I checked remains virtually unsold. Producer and general manager should take another look at this business model.

The show would have been worth seeing for full price with the off broadway cast. With the caliber of talent starring in it now plus all of the work that has probably gone in to it since then, if you consider yourself a Broadway fan you don't want to miss this no matter how long it lasts.

I made a post on my Tumblr. page about my befuddlement at the show putting itself in such a large theatre, and Seth Rudetsky "Liked" it...I just hope I didn't tick him off. ![]()

Laughing at the people who were saying how they "doubt that this will last long"....you're all right!! Since it's only scheduled to run for ~4 months, with another show already scheduled at that theatre...Brilliance at its finest!

How many people think this will realistically make it to the end of its scheduled limited run?

I can't imagine the running costs for this will be all that high.

Gee, I'm quite happy with my seats in the orchestra J 6 and 8 bought with the code for $89. I wouldn't call those "absolute garbage seats". But admittedly they aren't including front row mezzanine (just as more and more theatres aren't including them at discount prices).

There are pretty much zero tickets sold in the mezzanine for a bunch of randomly selected dates, including weekend shows. Also at most shows the orchestra is only half sold. I can't imagine this lasting long unless it some how garners tony nominations.

There were a bunch of dates on TDF- now most are gone..Do those dates ever show up again? Or have I missed my chance?

This show is a limited run. So when you say "don't expect it to last too long" - neither do they. Seth said the only reason he's putting it up is because they want to get it licensed and this most likely is the easiest way. At least that's what he said.

Jbm - did you mean those exact dates, or dates in general for the same show?
If the former....it's possible, certainly. If the latter most definitely, it happens often.
