"I was wondering if anyone would have the cajones to mention "

cAjones = drawers, cOjones = testicles

This has been a Spanglish public service announcement.

Now back to the topic at hand - I loved the animated Disney movie 'Bolt' but don't see how it could work on stage.

Ratatouille is in the works. Annaleigh Ashford did a reading of it back in early 2014 as Colette. I don't know if it would make an awful musical but I chuckle thinking about the song that's bound to be written about the wonders of tasting food.

I'm laughing just imagining that. How will they distinguish the rats from the humans?

And yes, UnwoundFantasies, any Disney movie, animated or otherwise!

"I cringe at a Frozen musical & all the souvenirs & crazy crowds at the stage door."

The only thing Mr Roxy hates more then when a flop flops is when a hit hits.

As much as I adore The Rescuers (and I even really loved the sequel), I see no way as to how they can adapt it to the stage, which is a shame because I think it may be the most underrated movie in the Disney canon. The material is great but the scope and details are too massive to pull off successfully. I know people said that about The Lion King and it was pulled off but I truly can't see it with The Rescuers.

I don't know, I think a musical of any of the direct-to-video sequels/prequels would be pretty hilarious.

THE FOX AND THE HOUND 2: THE MUSICAL! I mean, they join a band! And you'd have a heck of a finale right before the hound is dragged off to become a cold-blooded killer hunter!

Barring that, DOUG'S FIRST MOVIE: THE MUSICAL.

The words Disney & Broadway, should never be used in the same sentence (damn, I just did). Disney is a curse, that could destroy Broadway.

This thread is fantastic, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

That said, you know what would make a GREAT musical? The Great Mouse Detective. That I'd pay to see.

Surviving debacles like Little Mermaid & Tarzan is a small price to pay in exchange for having a refurbished & renewed New Amsterdam

Many other things are destroying Broadway besides Disney. If you do not like Disney, simply do not go their shows.

Is this sarcasm? What is your source of this?

I love Hercules and Tangled, but these two would be pretty hard to do.

Defientely Dumbo & Alice in Wonderland (Tell me both are dead),

Lady and the Tramp

Toy Story

Pinnochio

Bambi

Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Honestly I can see aspects of it, but I don't know how Sleeping Beauty would work. I can only picture Once Upon a Dream. The rest, I really can't see

Pretty much all of the animal stories (minus PATF)

The Shaggy dog.

No, wait, it might work.

My Favorite Martian! Such a wonderful Gay subtext. Actually.... upon thinking about it, it would make a Great Broadeway Show!

Could Ratatouille the musical be the first ever musical created through social media?

And I think Snow White the musical would be a snooooozefest.
"

Wouldn't Cars: The Musical pretty much be Starlight Express?

Worth noting Snow White the Musical was already a thing. It played Radio City, and was even filmed and released on VHS.

Mr. Roxy, you obviously weren't subjected to the craziness of the IF/THEN stage door.

"

God, it was literally down the block, and that was towards the show's decline. I've literally never seen a stage door like it and doubt I will again.
