Disney's High School Musical the BROADWAY Musical?

Is this true? ALL my friends are flippin in love with the movie. I read that it's going to be made into a B'way musical. Just wonderin' what ppl thought about the movie. I have refused to see it (just to spite my friends) but if it's going to be a forreal musical then it must have some worth right?

No not true, there is a musical version being released for High schools and childrens theater groups.

Heh, it has no worth in my eyes. The singing was less than mediocre and the songs were forgotten as soon as the movie ended.

You never know though. I suggest watching it and seeing for yourself.

I think the rights are for school editions like the Les Mis school version.

I think it's ridiculous that it's even being turned into a "real" musical, but if there was ever a professional production of this, I want to see Allison Fischer and Barrett Foa as Sharpay and Ryan..
