I'm in my early 30s and was carded buying a drink at a theater bar a few weeks ago. It was the first time I've been carded in at least two years.

Yes. If you look to be under ~40, they will card you. Don't risk it.

In over 40 years of attending theater I have never been carded at the theater. But we rarely drink at the theater.

No but I never had a drink at a theatre when I was close to the legal drinking age.

The concessions cannot risk losing their license to sell liquor for failing to card, and there is undoubtedly something in their contract with the theaters that says they will be commercially reasonable about complying with applicable law. So they may not card everyone but they will be prudent.
And why, pray tell, do you ask?

As stated numerous times on this Board since the sock puppet joined, he claims he is either 19 or 20 years of age (I cannot remember which).

You're less likely to get carded if you act mature so I think you're sh!t out of luck, Pintobean.

Fly to Europe. There the legal drinking age is 18 in a bunch of countries, if not all.

It's a joke you're too young to (or never will) understand or enjoy.

You do realize that if someone has to explain a joke all humor is lost. And, why the hell would you (or anyone for that matter) wanna get drunk at a show. Drinking is the only way I can deal with your stupid posts and question by the way, and I am well above the legal age.

"explain it"
When a homosexual male celeb for instance doesn't want to / can't come out and doesn't want the public to suspect anything he shows off a girlfriend he is only dating for publicity. The girlfriend is what people call a "beard".
This doesn't only apply to celebs but that was just an example.
