I have been to London twice and you are exactly right! Went to see Tina the Musical and Adrienne was not scheduled at that performance but there was no way to know. Same thing happened the prior year when I got to the show, 42nd Street. There was a piece of paper taped to the wall in the lobby saying that Sheena Easton was not at that performance. I went back to see Sheena in the show. At the stage door, she told me that she had that day scheduled off. There was no way for a ticket buyer to know.
As far as Karen, I went to see her in WSS and she left after Act I. There was an announcement that she would not be in Act II.
I tried 4 times to see her in WSS to no avail. I think her absences in that show rivaled Fantasia in TCP. Once I went to WSS and she was out so I took a refund. I then passed her and her then husband walking on 10th Ave. It was surreal.
Tried 3 times with ITH. No luck.
When I saw Moulin Rouge I assumed I wouldn’t see her but she was in and she was glorious.
A talented woman doing the best she can. I have empathy for her. When I was younger I didn’t.

"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello

It was on the splash page of the website (including her vacation dates), but if I remember from when I purchased tix there wasn't anything that popped up when you pulled up a specific date. But she had tweeted it so many times it wasn't hard to find there.

Curious about your empathy for her and the best she can comment.
I am sure there are a lot of currently unknown, talented, and durable theater actors who would gladly have her place in the theater world. It’s almost like she is saying, “I’m good, I’m a star, I’m unreliable, get over it.”
I get the nature of live theater and missed performances.
If she doesn’t have the stamina for a 7 (never mind eight) performance schedule, maybe the Bette Midler/Donna Murphy Hello Dolly model is ideal for her, with her doing the Donna Murphy side of it. SHE is the off night Satine, only needing the energy for one performance a week and people who want to see her will know she would be in.
And really, I realize now that my disappointment was not just her being out, but also the gaslight nature on how the producers have figured out a way to veil her absence. It seems they work within the rules (sort of) to avoid making it obvious she actually missed a performance.
I finally saw Moulin Rouge today and everyone was in for the matinee besides Rick Rojas. I am grateful that I got to see Karen because she's a bonafide star in this production. There was no evidence of walking through the performance, she was in perfect and full voice, and her acting was top notch. It's wonderful to finally see her as a leading lady, and all of the raves are well deserved. While it certainly won't become a favorite show of mine, Karen, Aaron, and Danny are doing some really great work.
I know her attendance can be frustrating, but if you have the chance to see Karen, you won't be disappointed.

Imagine how many more times you would have seen it if you liked the show.
Not sure where the June date came from, I hadn't seen anywhere that he, or anyone with the show, confirmed that date. He was on a podcast yesterday and confirmed he's doing the show at least until September and seemed open to doing it longer.
Looks like Ashley Loren has been going on as Satine on Tuesday, Wednesday, and now the matinee Thursday. Wondering if Karen is just not going to do the show anymore until a decision is made about the whole coronavirus thing. Website says nothing about her being out though : /
