I saw THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE about 6 times during her run in the show and she was always in (adding more to the role each time). She was in when I saw YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, SHREK: The Musical, ANYTHING GOES and on every episode I've watched of ABC FAMILY's BUNHEADS.
I guess let's put it this way. While she's not known as that "I never miss a show unless I'm dead" type of actor, she never gained the reputation of a Laura Benanti or Donna Murphy (both of whom, to be fair, had some pretty major unreported/undiagnosed medical issues around their big string of absences that earned them those reputations, and both of whom, I believe, have had much better attendance records in their more recent productions).
She was out of AG for 1 week or so while she filmed the pilot of Bunheads. Though I suspect you're asking more about unplanned abscences vs brief hiatus.
I've seen her in Shrek and Anything Goes. I was worried I would miss her in Anything Goes because I had tickets the Wednesday night after she had a back spasm the previous weekend and missed a couple shows, but she was on
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "
She has impeccable attendance. She was having back spasms during Anything Goes and still going on. She is old school in terms of performing. She had a lot of scheduled time off during Anything Goes.
Also, it is better to seen an original cast closer to opening. Once they have been running a few months, they start taking time off and in terms of Young Frankenstein after the first few weeks it was a crap shoot getting the entire cast on at once.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
When I saw Young Frankenstein (2x), Shrek, & Anything Goes, she was always in. I've never heard of her being out often if she wasn't legitimately sick, injured, or if it was a planned hiatus.
"For example, if I should paint my fingernails green -
and it just so happens I do paint them green. Well, if anyone should ask me why, I say: 'I think it's pretty!'"
broadway guy, I'm curious why this came up. Foster's attendance record seems pretty "normal" -- neither particularly good nor particularly bad. And she hasn't been in a show for a couple of years. What made you think about this?
"What was the name of that cheese that I like?"
"you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start"
"well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"
