Dollypop, Where are you?

Come to think of it, I haven't seen him post anything on Facebook in several months.

Dollypop, Where are you?

Please don't quote me on this, because there is a possibility I'm wrong (and Dollypop forgive me if it is) but, I have a hazy memory of reading something in a Betty Buckley/Hello Dolly thread that Dollypop was having a medical procedure, and was going to miss the Dolly tour in a near by town,

Dollypop, Where are you?

I know Dollypop mentioned around Thanksgiving in a thread I started about what we were thankful for that he was thankful for his medical staff who assisting him with his cancer diagnosis. He and I PM’d after this, but haven’t talked recently. Just worried. Hopefully, unnecessarily so. If he had to miss the Dolly tour stop near him, I know that he was disappointed about that. We love you, Dollypop!

Dollypop, Where are you?

Funny, 5 - 10 minutes ago I posted in another subject that Fiddler was a humongous ,hit in its day and dethroned HD as the most in-demand show. I was wondering what Dollypop's view would be on that statement as I typed it. Hope he is okay...already miss Mr. Roxy's presence.

I don't know what Dollypop will say, but it was well-known in the early 1970s that Hal Prince poured money into FIDDLER to keep it open longer than DOLLY, and misreported grosses to VARIETY to cover up what he was doing. (To be clear, I have no inside info on this; it was covered in the media at the time.)

So while FIDDLER may have appeared to "dethrone" DOLLY, whether it actually did so was very much in doubt. (Regardless, both shows were massive hits, of course.)
