Yes. she is a half step down from the vocal score. She is using Tyne Daly's keys. And she has said these keys are the reason the songs are not demanding for her and she is able to keep her voice strong.

A half step is not a big deal. Angela Lansbury sang it drastically lower.

She's doing "Some People"!! re: Don't forget: Patti LuPone on The View tomorrow morning..
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I'm glad she's just singing it - not trying to act it. It's impossible to jump into the middle of Rose, I imagine. I hope she gives us a concert after this run!

That's not the wrong note. I think it's written in the vocal score. And with the key she's in, she is belting a high C with that note. Which is the equivalent to Merman's ending notes in 'Everything's Coming Up Roses' and 'Rose's Turn.'

Angela Lansbury took the higher note too (in London I believe). Though she was in much lower keys.

And I told you all she would be doing SOME PEOPLE. I knew it. re: Don't forget: Patti LuPone on The View tomorrow morning..

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad
