Dreaming, do you know of some animosity between the two?

I respect your opinion, dreaming, I just don't understand it. Why would casting LuPone and Murphy not enable the production to be the best it could be? They're both super talented, so unless you think an as yet undetermined hatred towards each other will hurt the quality of the production - I just don't get it.
Also, there have been performers who couldn't stand each other, but there was still quality on the stage.
Perhaps they can appear on alternate nights in a one woman show talking about themselves and bitching the other, and for the final week--a cosmetic melt down when they finally meet up wherever old Beauty Queens take off their War Paint for the last time[just saying !].

logan-I get your point and think it will be fine. They're both professionals and I insulted them and everyone else by implication.
Dreaming, don't be too hard on yourself.
Let us on the message board do that for you. : )
This thread has been a dramatic ride all by itself! I'm awfully confused about what's going on.

Marin Mazzie played Helen in the recent reading and Zach Braff was the John Cusack role.....
That's interesting, Murphy is my number one choice for Helen but can't complain about Mazzie, she's rarely allowed to be funny, something she truly excels at. It'd be great to see her going back to a comedic role.
Is this still happening? Anyone have an update?
