I actually think he'd be much better as Lumiere, but oh well.
And they're bringing back Sarah Litzsinger AGAIN? Why?
What they really need to do is get a new Beast. Steve Blanchard has gone from being wonderful in the role to just downright awful.

Good God, now I have to see this show again. I was one of those fawning fangirls when the Osmonds were big. There is no way I want to miss him.
Adamgreer I agree with you about Steve Blanchard. I saw the show twice. The second time I detested it, largely because of his performance. Truly cringe-worthy.

I'd rather see Osmond play the Beast, but I guess it's too much makeup covering his (super) face. He might be too darn likable and adorable as the villain.

WOW!... He looks young and fit at 48. Certaintly not that skinny little guy with Marie anymore.And that Erick Estrada toothy grin will serve him well as Gaston.
Marie's in fine shape too. She was a great Anna in the last King & I on Bd'w...still an amazing singer too.

Donny and Marie were so fun on Larry King last night!
ok..so...give him a chance. MAYBE he will surprise! you never know til you see! HEY...at least its not Constantine! LOL!!!
as someone who was IN Jekyll and Hyde, I would have been THRILLED to have shared the stage with Donny (or John Stamos) and I actually think he might have been quite good in the show, ESPECIALLY as Henry!
He is a talented man.

Sarah is AMAAAAZING but I would love to see her originate something already. She is a VERY overlooked talent these days.

I say CONGRATS. to Donny getting the part. I LOVE his voice and wish I could see him in the role. I actually went to his "This is the Moment" musical concert tour with my mom when it was in Atlanta, GA and it was great! I was REALLY surprised at how well he interpreted every song. I also have his "This is the Moment" cd and I listen to it all the time. Again, Congrats. Donny!

I hope Donny does the Stage Door. I know he suffers anxiety and crowds may not be comfortable for him.

I don't know what to say about this casting.
I saw the appearance on Larry King, and was kind of put off by Marie's behavior. It seems like she was trying to make a joke of everything (when Larry was trying to be serious).

I love Donny. I actually went to a Donny concert with my mom (who used to be a HUGE Donny fan) and we had a wonderful time. It was my birthday gift. I wish him all the best in Beauty and the Beast. Maybe this gives me an excuse to come out to New York and see the show.

I adore Donny, and am thus so, so, so excited.
It would have been interesting to see him as Lumiere, but I'm not sure if he could have handled the accent. Sigh. Man, I have a crush on that candleabrum.
