What is your dream role that you could never play because you're not the right gender, color, or range? Mine would be Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar".
Seaweed in Hairspray...I'm not the right gender, color(race), or range

Umm, Judas, too, I guess. Or Roger from Rent, maybe, but I'm getting close to that. But most likely John from tick, tick, BOOM! I'd love to be able to sing all those high notes.

I would LOVE to play Penny Pingleton from Hairspray. Hah, I mean I've alreayd played all the male versions of that role (Seymour, Motel)...If only I could pull off the girl thing I could be a wicked Penny. Also Seaweed if I was black is a GREAT singing role that oddly enough i can sing, but I can't do it in public without getting beaten up...go figure.
Akiva
Additionally, I would love to play Tracy Turnblad. And while that is entirely possible (if I could act!), as I am losing weight, it is now in the category of impossible dreams roles. And certainly the role of Edna Turnblad.
Audrey. Except who wants to be compared to Ellen Greene?
Max Bialystock in the Producers.
Any of the characters in the Wild Party.
Bat Boy
The Plant in Little Shop

Christine in POTO (used to be my dream, but I used to be a soprano. Who knew how much your voice can change in a matter of years? Now I'm a belter, baby)
Judas in JCS (just listening to that in my car, gotta love it)
James Barbour's pants. Okay, so that was a *little* too much... But I'd go for Gavin's pants as well! If not pants... hat? Shoe? I don't care!
Coalhouse from Ragtime
The Engineer in Miss Saigon, love that role.
Roxie Hart...ULTIMATE Dream role!! I would just be happy to perform her monologue and the song Roxie (I did the monologue once for an audition-needless to say I didn't get the role :)
Amneris - just for my Strongest Suit :)
I'm a guy, so none of that will ever happen....sigh
I always wanted to be Cassie in A CHORUS LINE. Can you imagine having the chops to pull off The Music and the Mirror?
