re: Drowsy Stage Door

sutton did not come out when i saw the show this Saturday evening...but that must have been a strange circumstance, b/c she is always great with her fans!

re: Drowsy Stage Door

I'm assuming she didn't come out on Saturday night because they were recording the album on Sunday, and didn't want to hurt her voice.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

Maybe she had notes? The show is still in previews.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

I'm seeing it in a few weeks! Last time I saw her was Little Women so I can't wait to see her in DC!
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

re: Drowsy Stage Door

It wasn't notes -- the doorman said she and Georgia Engel frequently use different exits. Bob Martin takes the longest, but signs, as does the rest of the cast. They couldn't be nicer!

re: Drowsy Stage Door

She had notes?

^^ sorry but what does that mean?

re: Drowsy Stage Door

During previews, the directors usually give notes to the performers on their performance. It's usually done before or after that performance.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

I am going to try for the lottery for The Drowsy Chaperone on thursday night. Do a lot of people usually show up to the lottery for Drowsy Chaperone? Also, does Sutton ever come out of the stage door?

re: Drowsy Stage Door

I heard that Sutton didn't come out after the Friday night show either.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

Sutton didn't come out monday night either.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

It might just be during previews when she uses an alternate exit. This is probably in order for her to stay on track with the show.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

I hope so because hopefully I'll be seeing this soon, and last time we saw Sutton was in LW and she didn't come out after that.

The crowds go up and down, depends of when you go.

Sutton didn't come out during last Wens. matinee either.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

Sutton didn't come out after Friday's (3/14) performance... I was quite disappointed. Neither did - unless I missed her - Beth Leavel who was the highlight of the show for me.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

She came out when I saw it on 4/7 (Friday).

re: Drowsy Stage Door

She didn't come out yesterday. The crowd was crazy - I only got to see Bob and Troy. There were a lot of Broadway names there as well - Gavin Creel was in the audience, so perhaps Sutton went to go hang out with him?

re: Drowsy Stage Door

Diane Sawyer/Mike Nichols and Casey Nicholaw were a row in front of us on Friday! The stagedoor was a mob on Friday as well. They need barracades. I got signatures from Edward Hibbert, Kecia Lewis-Evans, Garth Kravits, Lenny Wolpe, Eddie Korbich and Bob Martin. I'm still SO disappointed I didnt get to meet Beth Leavel. Did anyone who was there on Friday, 3/14, see her? I'll be so mad if she came out and I missed her!

re: Drowsy Stage Door

Has anybody gone to the stage door after any matinee recently? I may go this week and was wondering which actors tend to come out the stage door and sign/take pictures?
#22

re: Drowsy Stage Door

I've heard that all but Sutton and Georgia come out after matinees.
#23

re: Drowsy Stage Door

yeah...i remember during "millie" and "little women" that i always heard that most of the time, sutton takes it easy and stays in between matinees and evening shows.

re: Drowsy Stage Door

Heh, sounds like Sutton doesn't come out at all!

re: Drowsy Stage Door

The first night I saw Sutton, she did a photo and playbill signature. The second time...a matinee...she didn't come out. The stage door manager told me that Sutton nor Georgia Engle come out during the matinee performances.
