heyy..sorry if this question has been asked before.
i'm going to see the drowsy chaperone on thursday night and i was wondering if anyone knew if Sutton comes out of the stage door after the show.
if she takes a while, i don't mind waiting b/c i am staying @ the marquis hotel.
thanks!!

Posted: 4/17/06 at 7:43amI'm assuming she didn't come out on Saturday night because they were recording the album on Sunday, and didn't want to hurt her voice.

Posted: 4/17/06 at 10:55amI'm seeing it in a few weeks! Last time I saw her was Little Women so I can't wait to see her in DC!

Posted: 4/17/06 at 11:37amIt wasn't notes -- the doorman said she and Georgia Engel frequently use different exits. Bob Martin takes the longest, but signs, as does the rest of the cast. They couldn't be nicer!

Posted: 4/17/06 at 11:48amDuring previews, the directors usually give notes to the performers on their performance. It's usually done before or after that performance.

I am going to try for the lottery for The Drowsy Chaperone on thursday night. Do a lot of people usually show up to the lottery for Drowsy Chaperone? Also, does Sutton ever come out of the stage door?

Posted: 4/18/06 at 10:09amIt might just be during previews when she uses an alternate exit. This is probably in order for her to stay on track with the show.

Posted: 4/18/06 at 11:09amI hope so because hopefully I'll be seeing this soon, and last time we saw Sutton was in LW and she didn't come out after that.

Posted: 4/18/06 at 7:59pmSutton didn't come out after Friday's (3/14) performance... I was quite disappointed. Neither did - unless I missed her - Beth Leavel who was the highlight of the show for me.
#18re: Drowsy Stage Door
Posted: 4/18/06 at 11:59pmShe didn't come out yesterday. The crowd was crazy - I only got to see Bob and Troy. There were a lot of Broadway names there as well - Gavin Creel was in the audience, so perhaps Sutton went to go hang out with him?

Posted: 4/19/06 at 12:10amDiane Sawyer/Mike Nichols and Casey Nicholaw were a row in front of us on Friday! The stagedoor was a mob on Friday as well. They need barracades. I got signatures from Edward Hibbert, Kecia Lewis-Evans, Garth Kravits, Lenny Wolpe, Eddie Korbich and Bob Martin. I'm still SO disappointed I didnt get to meet Beth Leavel. Did anyone who was there on Friday, 3/14, see her? I'll be so mad if she came out and I missed her!

Posted: 5/22/06 at 3:18pmHas anybody gone to the stage door after any matinee recently? I may go this week and was wondering which actors tend to come out the stage door and sign/take pictures?

Posted: 5/22/06 at 5:29pmThe first night I saw Sutton, she did a photo and playbill signature. The second time...a matinee...she didn't come out. The stage door manager told me that Sutton nor Georgia Engle come out during the matinee performances.
