Posted: 7/20/06 at 9:21pmAh yeah, while I'm sure everything will be fine (hardly the ship in "Titanic"), I hope no one is hurt. Every member of that cast does such a wonderful job, I'd hate for one of them to be out when I see it next week. Interesting situation though, I do wonder why it was so bad that the show needed to be stopped for a while.

Posted: 7/20/06 at 9:27pmIt's a Murphy bed that pulls down from the "wall". They could probably do the show without the bed, but who knows...maybe it won't go up and is blocking part of the stage. That WOULD be a problem.

Posted: 7/21/06 at 1:11amI remember the bed was causing issues during previews when I saw the show. It didn't stop the show, but it did bring about some very cute Bob Martin improv.

Posted: 7/21/06 at 7:37amI was there and it was when 'man in the chair' was lifting the murphy bed with Aldolfo and Drowsy on it and it kinda cluncked and plopped - 'non-scheduled intermission' lasted about 15 min.

Posted: 7/21/06 at 9:55amAccording to a poster on ATC Bob Martin got off several good ad libs... "It's a rent controlled apartment... you get what you pay for..." And when the Stage Crew came on he said... "Oh, look, it's the neighbors..." Anyway, he got laughs and the bed was fixed and the show went on. And everyone had a good time.
