Has anyone tried the Elf rush yet. If so how does it work and how many people show up for it.

I have no idea how hard it is or how early you need to get there, but it's:

$42 each
partial view orchestra
available when the box office opens
2 per ID

I'm curious to hear if anyone's tried it...gonna do it next weekend.

I was at the box office on Thursday and they said rush is only thru Sunday(tonight)

It's not available for all performances. It's kind of hit and miss, they do it when they have those seats available the box office told me.

What are "those seats" considered to be? Is it front row
Or the side partial views?

front row

The front row is definitely partial view- the stage is VERY high there.

That's weird that front row is partial
Bc when Hair was at the Hirsch it was selling for premium price

They are not always front row. They have been on the extreme sides of the front of the orchestra/

ELF is not worth $42 rush. In my opinion. And I saw it, so I'm not talking out my ass.

Unless you intend on bringing children, it's not worth it. It's a great holiday kids show, and parents will enjoy that their kids loved it.

Dont bring your significant other, for a cute date night. You will be disappointed. Updated On: 11/14/10 at 02:06 PM

^Disagree. I saw it yesterday matinee using rush tickets (orchestra, 2nd row, all the way house right) and loved it. The partial view was totally fine. I maybe only missed one or two things that were not at all crucial. Totally worth it if you can't get the TDF seats.

Bjh, what time did you get there to get your tickets? Were people lined up?

And I disagree also. Saw the show last weekend with TDF tickets (and no children in tow) and loved every minute of it. Updated On: 11/14/10 at 02:16 PM

I took my significant other and we both enjoyed every minute of it. I'm 25 and he's 27. Maybe we're just strange LOL. But it really was so much fun. The music and choreography...everything appealed to me.

So wait, is rush done after today (Sunday)?

This coming week shouldn't be bad for rushing, I suppose. Thanksgiving week onward, the show's almost sold out.

Where are TDF seats?

I tried Friday night and the very nice box office lady said there were no rush tickets available that day. She said it varies day to day and there is no set reason.

She said (of course) weekdays have a better shot at availability.

I went today to see the show and got 2 matinee rush tickets. The seats were front row, the first 2 seats on the left side. It is definately partial view with the stage being high but since I am tall I didn't really miss anything. I never saw the movie but I thought the show was great and very entertaining! Worth it completely!

And I bought my tickets today at 1:00pm too!

Yeah, rush was definitely available today. ELF RUSH

The height of the stage is no worse than the stage at the Palace.

I got A101 at 10:20 this morning, and I was the first person there.

I got A106 right around 12 today, and it was a great seat. Barely seemed like a partial view.

Can anyone provide any rush stories now that the show is in the holiday season? Are they even selling rush tickets or re the usually sold out? If they are how early have people been getting there?
