Not ALL of the PUBLIC loves Adam. Count me as one, and pretty much everyone I work with. The main reason. He ends up screaming in almost every song.
No one I know hates him as a person at all.
BTW, I didn't care about Kris' 'lifestyle', either.
Luckily for both of them, their styles are so different, they won't be competing for the same target audience. I'll buy Kris' cd and be happy to listen to it on the way to work.

Who cares if Adam, or Kris for that matter is gay or straight? How does that change anything? If someone is gay or straight, that tells you absolutely nothing about the person - do they have good character, do they have morals, etc.
And, if someone has had enough of Adam or Kris, then don't read the postings.

Posted: 5/29/09 at 11:38amseal, I thought about that after I posted it and actually it really isn't "second" but I guess what I was trying to say is that it is just part of the human being that I am. I don't put any emphasis on it. As far as Adam waiting for some huge figure from a magazine, you know what? I say go for it. The man has kinda put it out there without having to say "I'm Gay". And he shouldn't have to say it. If some magazine wants an "exclusive" then he should go for it if he wants. It seems the press won't happy until it is splashed all over the news or magazines. So I say go ahead and do it, get it over with so the press won't go on speculating and trying to find out. He seems like a level headed guy and I have enjoyed hearing him talk. I was quite impressed with his thoughts on children and theatre. I share the same thoughts. Just my random thoughts on the subject.

Fun fact of the day, from the AP Stylebook:
Gay: Used to describe men and women attracted to the same sex, though lesbian is the more common term for women. Preferred over homosexual except in clinical contexts or references to sexual activity.
Include sexual orientation only when it is pertinent to a story, and avoid references to "sexual preference" or to a gay or alternative "lifestyle."

Yeah, but on planet earth (and especially in the US) people DO care. Yes, it doesn't have any bearing on who someone is a person, and yet much of this country does indeed think it does.
With the Prop 8 debacle and all this talk about gay people reach out and touch the hearts of straight people, I can't see why any gay person doesn't think it matters if he actually acknowledges whether he's gay or not. To his credit, though, there's been no denial and he does seem to live his life openly. No one clamors to say "allegedly" when they talk about being him being gay, so perhaps he truly is our first post-gay celebrity.
But to think it doesn't matter... I just don't get that.

I don't give a damn if he's gay or straight. If he wants to keep his private life private, good for him. If he wants to make money on a tell-all, fine, just don't expect me to bother to read it because I don't care.
What I do care about is his singing which was exceptional in that "Mad World" song clip that's available. He's got a lot of talent and he's nice looking to boot, and stylish. I hope he gets a lot of roles and songs and isn't typecast. I would like to see him perform on stage in person in a good show where he has a chance to use all his talent.

Yeah.. Adam was never "in" any closet. he was living openly.. seriously, if people who never met you were stalking you with a camer and yelling at you that they found pics on your facebook and MySpace in drag and kissing boys asking if that means you are gay, wouldn't YOU just look at them, laugh at say "figure it out" too? I think it's hysterical.

Well, if it's in Rolling Stone I may read it after all.
They do some good interviews. And I doubt they'll spend the whole interview on sexual preference.
