Posted: 5/28/09 at 9:42pmhe lost, oh well. You can catch him in Spider Man the musical. You cant call the loss a "major upset". the PUBLIC votes for the winner. Not once has there ever been this much of a riot over a Idol Finale. Let this Kris Allen kid enjoy this moment damnit!

Meanwhile, once people discovered that Lambert is in the dreadful TEN COMMANDEMENTS musical with Val Kilmer, the DVD has become a top seller (#15) at deepediscount.com.

Posted: 5/28/09 at 11:42pmFrankly, I'm sick of the whole tired is-he-or-isn't-he-gay game, no matter who it's applied to (Lambert, Clay Aiken, Sean Hayes, Tom Cruise, Richard Gere, et al). It's just SO TEDIOUS AND OLD...

Seriously. especially when it isn't really a question.. and doesn't make much difference. The boy lives his life and he is himself. THAT is the most healthy thing that any person can do.. especially as a role model.
In regard to gay celebrities, why is it that some of them live out and proud lives, yet no one considers them gay and out until they do a magazine cover? Why don't the straight celebrities have to come out on a cover? Really now..

Posted: 5/29/09 at 12:33amI don't understand the "is he or isn't he" debate. He mentioned kissing one of the Elphabas in his concert and talked about kissing girls not being his preference. He also talked about the "pink elephant" in the room in his TV guide interview. The boy is out. He's probably just contractually obligated not to actually say so.

Not at all. I think he just has the attitude that he's a musician. Period.
I hope we get to a day really soon where saying "I'm a gay Astronaut" seems stupid. I think it's great for those fighting for their rights loudly, but to be hard on those who are just doing there thing... I dunno.

Posted: 5/29/09 at 7:57amSo what if he is not openly gay yet?!? I'm sure he'll come out, when he's ready. Don't you understand? Kris Allen WON American Idol and Adam wants the attention to be on him. Very selfless if you ask me. Sure, I am just speculating, but I really do think Adam is just waiting for the right time. The focus should be on his music, not his sexuality.

Of course he wants the attention: he's a performer. Is he just suppose to skulk away since he lost? He has to capitalize on the media attention. He didn't want to just win AI...he wants a career.
Good Morning America put him on their show, photographers came to Hair because of him. It's the way the world goes. Hell...the photographers were brought in when some plus size model that won a tv show came to see SA. It is made into entertainment news. It's gets both the show AND the celeb some attention -- deserved or not.

I'd love to see him as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar.
Just sayin'.

Apparently Archie is doing just fine - the Wall Street Journal reported that he made $1.3M in the past year.

Come now. You're just being deliberately obtuse, right?

"He's probably just contractually obligated not to actually say so."
Is that actually something that could be put into a contract? Other than a military enlistment contract?

I suppose they could, but I don't see how anyone with any self-respect would sign something like that. For the record, I don't think that's in the AI contract.

I could care less about Adam Lambert's lifestyle. That had no bearing on the fact that I voted for Kris. Kris sounds sweet and I like his style. I find Adam screechy. He always starts out a song nicely, but then ends up screaming at the end. It's not necessary.
This week, I went to see David Cook in concert. He mentioned both Adam and Kris. Adam got a few claps, but Kris received screams and loud applause. I live in Ohio, btw.
David Cook = all kinds of awesome. AI really should have quit last year.

Posted: 5/29/09 at 10:39amJust because the man isn't on the cover of "OUT" or "The Advocate" doesn't mean he is not openly gay. I am openly gay but I don't go around talking about it. I just live my life and I bet that's what he is doing. I am a human being 1st and gay second. That seems to be the way he looks at it. Right now, I am enjoying seeing him more than Susan Boyle. I am a bit over all of the coverage of her. And it just keeps going on. Now we have to deal with her meltdowns.

I love how this turned from an anti-adam post to an all out Adam talk fest. Honestly, as a gay guy fighting for civil rights in this country, Adam's little 'Am I or not?' act is completely offensive. I know he's probably waiting for some huge figure from a magazine for an exclusive but honestly enough is enough buddy. I mean this guy should just be proud of who he is or isn't. PS: Uncageg I think gay isn't something you put second, I think it should naturally be part of yourself. It's not like some priority: Family, Work, then Gay. Maybe that's just me.

"the PUBLIC votes for the winner."
The PUBLIC may vote for the winner but I'm not certain that they make the winner.
also, it seems like the PUBLIC loves Adam.
