Does anyone know if the Evita discount codes have been released yet?

I have a friend who is interning with one of the producers. There will definitely be no discount codes released before June 10th (The Tony Awards). And if it does well at the Tonys, well then it's almost positive that there won't be any for a while.

I'm glad for them if it's selling that well. It is rare that I would consider paying full price for a ticket but I will definately be getting one for Evita. I was just hoping to get in for maybe like 25%. Off. Oh well!

Every date that I am checking there are tons of seats available. They can't be selling that well at this point. I am sure it will be up on TKTS.

They should create an offer that uses the code 30127.

I have group tickets for both Evita and Newsies. The discount for Newsies (for nearly 100 tickets) was a little more expensive than we often get, but the Evita was one of the most expensive tix we've ever purchased. (Hope its worth it!)

It's still relatively early. Most dates I'm seeing for Evita look pretty wide open so I question whether they really intend to hold off on a discount. The Marquis is a big theatre and I really think they're going to have a hard time filling it (at least initially, and especially in previews.)

I'm a little skeptical myself ...

not sure this will make TDF (just by way of example, it took Seminar way too long to get up there ... sometimes producers try goofy things), but i can't remember the last broadway show i saw at full price -- american idiot, porgy & bess, even book of mormon all had codes for a little while.

Newsies appears to be selling extremely well. For many dates there are no seats at all in the orchestra available. I think the combination of the show's buzz coupled with the fact that it's (currently) a limited run in a small house means there won't be any discounts, at least at first.

based on the fact that they've made it only a 12 week run and it is selling very well(at full price) makes it seem 99% likely they'll extend Newsies, or even make it an open run.

I just bit the bullet and got a full price ticket. The last 2 rows of the mezz are $67. I'm in the city today and won't be back until April, when I'm see it so I figured if I'm going to pay full price I might as well save myself the ticketmaster fees! However I know I'll end up kicking my self if/when they release a code or this goes on TDF!

I got my $67 tickets as well. So far, I will be seeing EVITA on Monday, March 12 and Monday, March 26.

I'm in the process for buying for a group...the only staggered pricing they have is in the Mezz...otherwise the discount is ten bucks in the orchestra.

Considering I'm buying 30 tickets...I'm somewhat shocked.

I also grabbed the $67 Mezz tickets for my trip in May...despite wanting to be in the Orchestra for Evita, I had already bought Newsies (at $133), JCS (thank goodness there was a discount code) and Im holding out for a code to Leap of Faith...

Shocked about what? That the orchestra seats are discounted so little? Thirty tix is not a huge number...it's not even a busload.

I get nearly a hundredh tix for several shows a year, the decent discount is almost always only applicable in the mezz -- and often the rear mezz at that.
