lol, I really thought she would get a nom because she's freakin' ELAINE PAIGE and she's in her 60's and who knows if she will be on Broadway again since this was like her 1st time originating a role in anything.

at least it shows that they won't do that kind of thing (same for Angela Lansbury) unless you truly deserve it. Elaine did nothing special in Follies IMO while Jayne Houdyshell really made 'Broadway Baby' her own which is hard to do for such a well known song. (plus didn't she join the show kind of last minute? that's impressive as well. :)

I liked Elaine but I wasn;t blown over by her, I was blown over by Jayne Houdeyshel and am very glad she WAS nominated. I hope Jayne wins

I was not blown by Elaine Paige.
Thought she was miscast and awful in Follies.
She can keep her robe.
Not saying she is bad. Just bad in Follies.
