But, this is a key paragraph from another site which for some reason BWW left out of its article: "Billed as a riotously funny reworking of Hitchcock’s film, Rice’s adaptation turns the original thriller on its head. With just six shape-shifting performers, a fabulous ‘50s soundtrack, and a lot of hats, this dazzling production plays with heart, mind, and soul." I don't see how this could ever be a satisfying stage experience. It's a story and situation made for the big screen. There's no real character arc, and the thing that makes it most enjoyable is the huge number of cinematic setpieces, which could never be realized in live theater.
If you want to do a play (or musical!) of a Hitchcock film, look at Notorious or Vertigo.
Just remembering you've had an "and"
When you're back to "or"
