Equus Promo Pictures - Low Budget?

Does anyone else think the new Equus promo pictures are a little low-budget? And do we think we'll be getting more revealing ones closer to previews?

They couldn't afford a horse this time, I guess. XD C'mon, you've already seen him naked with a pony once. Is there really much of a need to see it again? Aside from the shallow part of me that says we do, because he's hotter now?

They were from a photoshoot for New York Magazine.
Not for the production.

I don't know that that is true -- they were first featured in New York magazine, but I think they ARE promo pics. Thought I'm sure they'll be more.

Your website illustrates the problem with the internet- everyone can jump on and post whatever claptrap they want and be seen as "legitimate" because it's such-and-such.com.

It's funny! bec. OUT MAGAZINE did an EQUUS photoshoot by Francois Rousseau on May 2007 issue which was inspired by the EQUUS London production and it looks like the Lebowitz photoshoot was inspired by OUT MAGAZINE!

This revival might as well be named SEXQUUS. I know sex sells but I just hate how they continuously promote and hype the nakedness of this production. Equus is not about the brief nudity.

I don't want to sound shallow, but if I had to choose between this or Peter Firth in his Y-fronts, I would pick nudity every time.

Morosco I can vividly remember Equus's nudity being the butt of Johnny Carson's jokes and prominently mentioned in just about every review. It was the focus of MUCH attention-

Maybe I'm being too critical. At least the sex will get folks in the doors and they'll experience what I consider to be a riveting drama.

By the time you get to the climactic nudity, audiences have been disturbed into submission and will not be going "ooh penis" by that stage. I'm all for underhanded tricks to get people into a theatre. :3
