Mina just likes to come on here and brag about having inside information, then when asked about it gets all cagey and vague. A very exaggerated sense of self-importance.

she is talking about the things that she is having to do for Wicked and taking dance classes is one of them.

The only required dancing for the role of Elphaba is a teensy bit during One Short Day. I can't imagine she'd need dance lessons for that or any of the other choreography (which is almost all movement, as opposed to dance).

Just my quick two cents about Wicked recycling cast members. Personally, I think it is a refreshing to see a show being so loyal to those that have helped make it what it is. I always hate to see a show bring in a "name" instead of promoting a standby or understudy that has been busting their butt with the company for years.

Maybe she would be going in as one of the ensemble members performing the lifts during “Dancing Through Life”.

To those griping about recycling:
A) Wicked *is* a green show
B) Recycling has happened for YEARS. During the original run of "A Chorus Line" they would move people from company to company (Deborah Henry and Pam Sousa, I believe were both floating Cassies) and many of them returned to the roles multiple times, including Donna McKechnie, Kelly Bishop, Robert LuPone, Pam Sousa, Laurie Gamache, Cheryl Clark and more than I care to list.

Why run the risk of new talent when they can rehire someone who they know a. knows the part and has performed it and b.knows the part and won't risk not remembering the lines because they've done it for 20 months.

I kinda do hope Kendra leaves and does something else. Shes very talented and it's just hard for me to see her bringing something new to each performance rather than walking through it. She's probably getting a lot of money though since she was what, the second glinda ever, and has been with the show since the tour opened.

If Mina says is true, I hope it's Saycon (doubtful cause of Fela) or Kristy Cates. Love both of those women.

Wicked is definately not the only show that recycles cast members. Phantom of the Opera does, Avenue Q, A Chorul Line, and other shows that have been around for a while

If Kristy Cates returned, I would book my plane ticket to San Francisco in a heart beat. Every performance of hers was different and unique in their own way. Saycon, would be nice. She was a beautiful Elphaba, however, I didn't feel that her acting was very good, but hopefully, it is her, that her acting has improved. She was recently in Hair, and now in Fela so I hear. How bout Lisa?

I HIGHLY doubt Lisa would come back. She's stated in the past that it was fun, but she got her fill of it. Granted if they paid her well enough, she might. I think she's up there in the top actresses to play the part. I think saycon was actually very good in the role. She gave Elphaba a sassy side to her as well as a more emotional side too. If it IS someone who is recycled...I WANT it to be Kristy...but the likelyhood is low. It's probably Eden...bleh.

I know a lot of people who are partial to their first Elphaba's and Glinda's. With that being said my first were Eden and Megan back in april of 06. I LOVED Megan. She was (is) my favorite Glinda (overall.) The only actress (in my opinion) who trumps her would be Katie Rose Clark. Her portrail of Glinda has depth that no other actress has done before. Wow, I just wrote a long paragraph when all I was trying to say was that I don't like eden as elphaba. Even back when she just started she was too nasal and riffy. Personal opinion, yet again.

Eden is taking a break from theatre to focus on concerts and making a cd. She even turned down playing Sheila in "Hair" to do this. In a backstage interview twoard the end of the Los Angeles run she was asked if she were to come back and she said, "Never say never but I'm planing on this being it for me." At the curtain call of the final performance Winnie Holzman and Stephen Scwartz said that it WAS DEFINETLEY Eden, Megan, and Derrick Williams's last show EVER.
