Posted: 4/23/14 at 7:03pmI was assuming (hoping) that the "under 30" stipulation was a joke!

Posted: 4/24/14 at 2:35pmHey, anyone happen to go last night? If so, can you tell me the running time? I hate to be that guy, but I'm wondering if I need to run home to walk the dog before the show or if I'll be home early enough.

Posted: 4/24/14 at 2:50pmAccording to the out-of-town reviews, the show was running 90 minutes no intermission when it was out-of-town. It's too bad Rattlestick is one of the few theaters that don't show the running time on their web site.

Posted: 4/24/14 at 2:52pmI found a review in the LA Times and it lists the running time as 90 mins. I'm guessing it'll be about the same for the NYC production. The Rattlestick has very little info on their site. Not even the cast is listed.

I went last night. It's 90mins. We were out by like 9:30ish.
I loved the Whale and was really excited to see a new play by Hunter, but I was really, really bored. There's little to no plot. And the subject matter, to me, just wasn't interesting at all. The performances are all great. And the direction is fine, if a bit slow moving, and the design is great. But there was just nothing there to pull me into the show. It's one of those shows where everyone talks in stilted sentences as to not give away too much information. So they slowly reveal secrets, etc. After awhile I just wanted them to complete their sentences already! ha.
