FALSETTOS Delaying Production

Looks like they are waiting until next season, but Lapine is officially directing (I can't remember if that was announced before)

Wait this can't be true. Philly said that Gentlemen's Guide was closing and Falsettos was going into the Walter Kerr, according to his insider friends.

This news is pretty much the least shocking news of the season, considering we weren't told any pertinent information about the production in any way whatsoever except that it was happening. Laura Benanti would be marvelous as Trina, but I doubt she'd return so soon after She Loves Me; considering the gap she took after Women on the Verge I'd love her to be more consistently on the boards though.

For what it's worth, I also heard elsewhere that Falsettos was eyeing the Walter Kerr for the spring. That doesn't make it TRUE, but I don't think Philly made it up himself.

So they need a star to sell the show.... Any ideas? Can we dream cast this? How about Neil Patrick Harris or Hugh Jackman?????
