This is one of the craziest stories I’ve seen in a while. They’d better make a movie about this.

Wild. I hope someone Is able to put some more meat on these bones. (With no disrespect to the esteemed A.V. Club.)
Actors moonlighting as spies is not unprecedented. A bunch of bold faced names have served this function, especially well documented re WWII.

Okay, so Topol was running an illegal Intel operation in his adopted country for a foreign power? That is the kind of thing that gets you thrown in jail in the US if you're doing it for Russia or China.
No wonder Netanyahu is eulogizing him like mad.
