The CD is excellent. Truly top notch. I listened to the whole thing straight through yesterday morning. They included the entire finale scene which made me so happy. This is one for the collection, for sure.

It's about ten minutes longer than the Irish Repertory cast recording despite that CD's inclusion of "Fiddle Faddle" and the bonus track. Although this one has a longer Overture and the Entr'acte.

It takes about 5 minutes per page and then comes the uploading time. But I promise to have it up before I go to bed so people who can't get to the theatre can see it.

PS Classics is known for packaging, and has only used a digipak once, as the artist's choice. This is in a jewel case, with a gorgeous book designed by Derek Bishop.

PS Classics is known for wasting money and resources, manufacturing gaudy overproduced packaging with needless cardboard slipcovers and plastic jewel cases that are not recyclable. They continually ignore the efforts of other record companies and Broadway shows to do their part in producing digipaks that are more environmentally friendly.

Presumably, cast albums are made for collectors, who want to KEEP them, not recycle them.

And as one of those designers, I have to say that I have YET to be accused designing something "gaudy" and "overproduced."

Also, as far as wasting money, digipaks cost roughly sixty cents more per unit. Updated On: 1/17/10 at 01:39 AM

Oh this took forever. I hope this encourages people who are in the area to go over to the theatre to get this program while they can. It's a great book and with other shows charging up to $20 for a product of lesser quality $5 is a bargain. They had people walking around outside the theatre selling CDs ande books so you don't have to buy a ticket to get one.

My scanner is not huge and things are cut off here and there but I did the best I could. I think it does represents how great this book is. I buy one for every show I see (if they have one) and I think this is the best yet.

^Thank you so much for posting this! Looking at it makes me so sad that I will not see this show and it was one of two revivals, the other being "Ragtime", that I was looking forward to seeing in the Spring. Oh well, I'll just have to wait to enjoy this when it's released on iTunes.

Just for the record, Eris, you bought this at a bargain... When I bought it at the theater, it was $15 pricier... I'm assuming that because it's closing they want to get rid of as many as possible, just as many shows have done before closing. If anybody remembers, in its closing weeks, 9 to 5 was practically GIVING stuff away.
A free program with ANY purchase, a magnet with a purchase of $20+, a hat with $30+, and a bag with $40+. I made off with more than $85 of free swag!
