So I attended Follies last night and I have to say that I went into it with really high expectations but walked out thinking...that it was just alright! Of course Christine Baranski and Donna Murphy were amazing! Along with others that stood out..I will give a more detailed review later tonite!

Sondheim's FOLLIES???? How did I miss it?
"The funny night of the evening was Victor Garber forgetting words to a song and turning to ask the conductor"
This is part of the show.
And why did you post the title in BIG CAPS LETTERS!!! if you thought it was just alright?
atlsuperstar, are you kidding? Do you read this board?

Did they have any good merch?

It bothers me how people keep saying Victor Garber forgot his lyrics, HE DID NOT! I guess it just attests to the fact he convincingly performed the break-down.
Lucy wants to be classie, Jessie wants to be lassie...
did you stage door and ask Liza for her autograph or carol channing? Did you follow Donna Murphy to starbucks?

Was Loretta Swit in the audience? Did she bring her pet pig?
I hear the lift malfunctioned and JoAnne Worley didn't actually fly at the end of Act one, but had the nerve to wave her arms around and act like she was really in the air. I would've asked for a refund.

At ATC they claim that many people did. As a result, the show lost its profits.
Sad. Terribly sad.
I read were Mimi Hines stoppped the show with "Braodaway Baby" every performance I have failed to read any of the bad reviews so far. I wish they were not such limited runs it
seem's like I'm alway's away when they run, at least I can read
about them from the internet

And Yvonne Constant did a brilliant rendition of all the songs in French after the Saturday matinee.
Afterwards, Donna Murphy and Victoria Clark both performed their versions of "Losing My Mind" and the audience got to vote on who did it best. The results will be announced on national TV and the winner will be playing Mrs.Lynch in the upcoming Grease revival.

Then someone took a picture and Donna Murphy stopped the show, and demanded that they start the show over again, from the first note of the overture!
I heard that during the first act someone's cell phone rang, and Victoria Clark said, "Answer it already."
Shortly thereafter there was some mix-up involving a house microphone and corn.
Can anyone who was at these shows verify?
Thanks in advance.
And yes, they did keep the gay scene with Bobby...I mean Ben and Buddy. And since "Tick Tock" was cut from the current revival of Company, JoAnne Worley danced the number...yes, they kept the original Bennett choreography.
I heard Donna Murphy had a wardrobe malfunction during The Story of Lucy and Jessie! How tragic.

Damn! I'm so sorry I missed it. I would have loved to see JoAnne Worley do the "Tick Tock" number with its original choreography.
Was she good?

She was decent, but not even close to as good as Charlotte D'Amboise was.
this is the best thread ever.
C is for Company, I disagree, to me it seemed like Donna McKechnie had taken over Worley, it was creepy. A performance only rivaled by Yvonne's French rendition of the Follies numbers. Watch out for these two come Tony time.
Tony Time is my FAVORITE choreographer! I love what he did in "It's A Grand Hotel Night for Singing"
