That was terrible. She looked great though.

I won't judge her based on that clip, but it certainly doesn't make me want to run out and get tickets to sit through TLM again. It made me appreciate how wonderful Sherie Renee Scott was in that role even more, though.

What was bad about that? That was a perfectly fine performance. Y'all are a bunch of queens.
Definitely better live, and in context of the show, with set and all. I find how she phrases the lines and her inflections somewhat strange, but I don't think she did as horrible as some of y'all are saying.
That was craptastic.
What are you talking about Ole Chum? Go see "Everyday Rapture" and try and say that about Sherie. The clips I've heard of her in Mermaid have been hysterical and in fine voice unlike what I just witnessed on the View.
Since Ursula literally has that and one other song (and their corresponding reprises): Yes, you can judge just by that clip. What outside context would have made that song better having already seen the show? The presents of the Eels who have 2 lines during it or Ariel?
Heidi was a revelation in the role and was able to squeeze every possible joke and nuance out of her time on stage. From what I've heard, Sherie did the same. This was awkward and seemed to zap all the humor out of a very tongue-in-cheek song.
This is not meant to be rude. But the only people who seem to have loved Heidi in the role are TOSSers.
But either way, I do not care. No one could pay me to sit through this show.

wasnt attacking Sherie's voice- its way ahead of Faith's at this point- but I think Faith does more with the character than Sherie, who kinda just went thru the motions with that same ditziness she always does. didnt see everyday rapture, but not sure how thats relevant to her performance in tlm.
and i thought- based on youtube alone- that heidi was genius in this, and i have never seen tos
Faith is much more what I wanted to see out in the role from the beginning. (I was hoping for Debra Monk or someone similar.) I haven't seen the show live, but I've been disappointed with everyone I have heard do this song. I guess I am too fond of the darn cartoon. I was hoping Faith would save it for me. I don't care anything about ever seeing it now.
it was horrible, she clearly didnt care or want to be there... she was running back and forth without thought or purpose, she seemed lost without the other characters there, the costume looked rediculous in the context, she couldnt grab the tentacle to do the end shot, and then she finally rushed through it and it went up early.... it was just a mess
