i checked- they have three segments from todays episode but no faith.
WSS will be performing next Tuesday!
you can watch it on the abc website, but you have to click to watch the whole episode, then click on the last segment to see Faith. Enjoy!
yuck i didn't like that at all. She sucked all the personality out of the song, and sounded like she was out of breath the whole time...
I prefer Sherie Renne Scott's performance, but think Faith Prince looks great in the role.
If WSS is performing America again, I'll pass.

I much prefer Sherrie's take on the song. Much stronger. Faith really did suck the personality out of the song.
That song is nothing without Jetsam & Flotsam. She appeared to be talk singing through most of it & failed to make anything in the song unique. She also looked as though she was having trouble with the tentacles. Updated On: 5/26/09 at 07:04 PM
the tentacles did look troublesome. I have one question. On the green body piece of the costume are there little LED lights or were those just the sequins? At times they looked like they could be lights but I wasn't sure.

there's the link of the show from today..
she is is there at the last like 4 minutes of the show.. I have to say she was much better when I saw her on May 2nd but I like her better because she doesn have the personality for a great Ursula and Sherie Rene Scott was getting bored with the role, you could tell. The only thing is that she really should sing the whole song because it is one of the recognizable songs from the movie.
Well that was just bad. I think she hit one note, albeit somewhat correctly, at the end of the song. The rest was just walking through a role that, if done well, is actually pretty interesting. Half of the song Faith just whispered/talked through and the rest was just a bore. Although I do think she looks good as Ursula, I much prefer Heidi or even Sherie.

...well that wasn't terrible...but it wasn't too good either...I prefer Sherie's rendition, but Faith definatly looks the part! When it first started I thought maybe they made a cartoon Faith Prince. Well, at least I know I'm not missing anything-I almost bought a ticket the other day, now I'm happy I didn't...
In or out of context, that is one awful song. Sadly, Prince hit and left her stride with Guys & Dolls.
I really expected more lesigh

Faith brought a hella lot more personality in those 3 minutes than Sherie Renee Scott could ever muster.
That said, her voice is clearly not what it once was... I saw her in Guys and Dolls and she was fantastic in every single way. That vocal clarity and power is gone, so she tries to talk her way thru the role. Sad, but true.
And based on vocals alone, Heidi whatshername knocked both of them outta the water with her insanely nuanced and powerful rendition.
That was incredibly awkward and just an odd performance.
She seemed so perfect for this role...I mean it's hard to criticize her after seeing one performance of one song, but still. I was not a fan of that performance to say the least.
I'd take an awkward Faith Prince performance over Shoshana Bean, Kerry Butler, or the like on their best night.
That was dissapointing.
She honestly seems so sweet and genuine as a person, but I think she's a little lost in the role. But who knows what it's like in the actual production.
I DID however love it when she used her low register! It reminded me of Pat, and was very good.
That was truly awkward. The song just does not work well out of context on a talk show with no one to play to. Was she having difficulty with her tentacles? It seems she was focusing on that the entire time.

I won't judge her based on this performance really, she was fighting her costume throughout the whole thing and seemed too concerned about which camera to focus on to deliver any sort of good performance. I figure she must be a lot better doing it on stage where hopefully the costume is not her enemy, and she has people to play off to. I'm not a big fan of her talk-sing approach to the song (not as successful as Pat Carroll's somewhat similar approach was in the movie), but again, I'm sure it all comes together on stage in ways that they obviously didn't in this awkward performance.
Yes, I will certainly give her the benefit of the doubt. It's probably much different when she actually performs it in the show.

That was... awkward. Not much different than what I saw live (minus the absence of Ariel/Flotsam/Jetsam). She seemed to struggle with the tentacles during the show, too.
