I didn't really find it creepy at all? Seemed sweet. He saw a woman he was struck by. And wanted to learn more about her? It's called a meet cute.

I'm not sure why everyone assumes the worst intentions here, either. It could very well be a similar situation to the merch one and the OP was just less poetic about it. In any case JMH88 is clearly not interested so best to let it be!

Wanting to meet her isn't creepy...but asking strangers to reveal info about her from just a sighting is. If be passed as hell if a stranger told me my friends/acquaintances gave out any personal information to a total stranger.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

If you don't instantly see the difference between "creepy" and "meet cute" in the original post, no amount of words will suffice to enlighten.

A "meet cute"? Sure, I guess so --- in a sort of Mark David Chapman/John Lennon type of "meet cute"!

A meet cute would be if she ran into the OP, dropping papers, and the OP helped her collect them and they talked a bit and awkwardly smiled at each other and then she had to run before numbers could exchanged.

This situation doesn't indicate there was any interaction- or that the woman in question even saw the OP at all. It's not even a missed connection. The OP didn't even know for sure who this woman is in relation to the production.

I mean.... RIGHT?!?! I thought I was the only one who noticed the slew (literally, it's probably 5 or 6) of brand-new accounts created today. It's somewhat bizarre.

"

Hi, definitely not the same sock. There is a reason why I work backstage. I am not one to thrive on attention or drama. This post has already created more than I am comfortable with. I created an account to respond to JDMack. I don't frequent these boards because of where I work, but I am in support of them for Broadway fans. I hope everyone keeps talking about Broadway and the shows that are produced.

JMH, you have been a class act in handling all this. I'm sorry you have to go through it, but props to you for resisting creeps and focusing on what's right.

Distasteful. Simply distasteful.

#35

Falsettos Wrangler

I thought it was sweet. All in how you read it I guess. Not everyone is a creepy creeper. what if this was a romcom and we all rooted for him to meet her? some people are hopeless romantics maybe? Or murderers.

#36

Falsettos Wrangler

"what if this was a romcom and we all rooted for him to meet her?"

Never and I mean NEVER confuse movies with real life. It's a really big mistake.

On another note, I wonder if JMH88 is really who they say they are... there's really no way to know, is there?

#37

Falsettos Wrangler

She is.

Can we just let this thread die now?

#38

Falsettos Wrangler

I think not, not if anyone has more to say. But I strongly believe that you should feel allowed to not read it, if you don't enjoy it.

And I hope you'll understand when I say that you simply stating that JMH88 is authentic is hardly proof positive, right? I mean, it's great that you think so, but how do you demonstrate your authority?

Oh, this should be good: how do you know?

Maybe you shouldn't weigh in on a post about trying to find out someone's identity.

Maybe you shouldn't comment on a post that has nothing at all to do with you.

#42

Falsettos Wrangler

It's a public forum. If you don't want anyone to weigh in on your continued jackassery, perhaps you should explore how to send private messages.

I'm mostly surprised this thread hasn't been deleted.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Conspiracy theory: What if the person the OP saw at the stage door wasn't even the wrangler, and she was someone else entirely?

You may want to look up the word "conspiracy". I don't think it means what you think it means.

Oh Liza knows how to send private messages...

As for the OP and the topic at hand: damn heteros.
