Also, closing performance of Curtains: Christine Ebersole, Victor Garber.
Opening night of Curtains: Rhea Perlman & Danny DeVito, Tyne Daly, Nathan Lane.
At Prelude To A Kiss a year or so again I recognised David Lee, one of the co-creators of 'Frasier'. I happened to have the S11 box set in my possession (had only bought and watched parts of it the previous day). I took it along for John Mahoney to autograph it, so I got two for the price of one.

Mario Cantone - Liza's at the Palace
Martin Short - Dame Edna: Back With a Vengeance
Marvin Hamlisch - Liza's at the Palace (different performance)
Steve Sondheim - Gypsy (final LuPone)
Arthur Laurents - Gypsy (final LuPone)
Caroline Rhea - 9 to 5 (first preview; didn't attend myself)
Probably a few more that I cannot remember. Martin Short was a real asshole, by the way. My mom did not say a word to him and he gave her the look of death. She used to be quite a fan of his. Now you couldn't pay her to go see him. I love her strength of conviction.

What surprised the hell out of me was that I saw NOBODY famous or mildly well known at the Sondheim-Frank Rich evening at Avery Fisher in January. I sat in good seats too. I thought for sure I'd see someone, especially after learning who was there. Strange.

I saw Jenna Russell and Hannah Waddingham at Young Frankenstein back in July.
They both stood right in front of me in the concessions line. It was cool, but I was too nervous to say anything.
(I regret that...)

1. Lonny Price at the stage door of 110 in the Shade
2. Des McAnuff at The Farnsworth Invention
3. Peter O'Toole at Blithe Spirit
4. Jerry Stiller at Exit the King
Two unconfirmed sightings from long ago...
1. Eric Idle at Seussical (my brother said he saw him, but I didn't get a view)
2. Judi Dench at The Producers (the person we were looking at was in the boxes, so we didn't have a complete view of her face)
