My best is, I spotted Jason Alexander outside the Billy Elliot theatre as I was going it, back in July. He was talking to what I presumed to be his wife and a son, (the kid was probably early teens, hanging on his dad the way only one's kid could, but when the lady and kid entered the theatre, I didn't see him.
Next to Normal - America Ferrera (Marc Kudish at the stage door)
Hair - Jeremy Sisto, Bryan Batt (Mad Men)
Love, Loss and What I Wore - Diane Sawyer and Mike Nichols
I hung out with Bernadette Peters at the Roundabout revival of FOLLIES during intermission. She looks FABULOUS in person, better even than on film/tv if that is possible. It is one of only a handful of times I have been truly starstruck. She is so sweet she makes sugar seem like salt. No joke!

Some of the more recent ones I've seen:
Amy Ryan (hugely pregnant) at Our Town
Julie White at The Bacchae
Philip Seymour Hoffman at Twelfth Night
James Earl Jones, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb at Mary Stuart
Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh (together) at Ruined
Meryl Streep at Wishful Drinking
Like a previous poster, I'm lousy at spotting celebs in the audience. But there were a few...
John Waters at a Cry-Baby preview
Hunter Bell at The Little Mermaid (was Heidi's first Saturday night performance as Ursula - at the stage door, Hunter actually remembered me, calling me by name, and we had a very nice conversation while waiting for Heidi. I was floating the rest of the weekend...)
Jerry Lewis at Spamalot (June 2005). Got to talk to him. Now I can die happy!
Tracie Thoms going in the stage door at Shrek back in June. I didn't say anything to her because I feel like it would have been rude of me.
I saw Tamara Tunie and Mary Tyler Moore at the same performance of All My Sons.
Gabriel Byrne at God of Carnage.
And not surprisingly, Felicity Huffman at Speed the Plow for William H Macy's first Saturday evening performance.
One of my favorite meetings was Stephen Schwartz at "Slava's Snow Show". He was incredibly nice, gracious, and humble. I really have nothing but nice things to say about the man. He was very chatty, introduced me to the people he was with, and left a really great impression on me. I'll always remember that meeting. He is a great guy.
