Although I will miss such a gem of a show, I am just glad that I got to see it twice during its run. One of the quirkiest shows with undoubtedly the most caring and dynamic cast. I hope nothing but the best for all involved (esp. those in my avatar).
Just got out of the show--it was crazy!! I'm on my iPhone though, so I have to keep it short for now. A few things:
Everyone received incredible applause. Mary and Jackir were OUT of control with their ad libs. Jackie's "secret" today... "I DONT HAVE A JOB!!!".
After the "that's why were closing" line, Cheyenne poked fun at Jackie and Mary for being loud and scene stealing. Hilarious! Will write more later. Saw a few BWW-ers there! Loved whoever it was that was dressed up as Klio and Sonny, don't know if they were BWW-ers or not.
An amazing last show.

Just got back from the final show - and what a great way to end.
First, it started with a huge standing ovation applause when Cheyenne came out to which eventually fell over on his side in the middle of the stage and had the biggest grin on his face. Then, he said "this is going to be a great afternoon" and started the show. Everyone, of course, got huge entrance applauses.
Fun things that happened: - Jackie's ad lib was several minutes and including acting out the final scene of West Side Story (as Maria says how many bullets in this gun) and singing "somewhere" while on her knees clutching onto Cheyenne's legs. - There was one line near the beginning that Mary said super-slowly, and she started laughing and Jackie looked at her watch like "We're going to take our time getting through this tonight." - Mary said all of her short and fast lines including Les Mis, Equus, Spring Awakening, Gypsy, and ... I'm forgetting one here. - Jackie came out to dance on the side of the stage during "all over the world." I think just 'cause it's so fun. - Mary stomped off-stage at one point when Jackie was hamming it up. - When Cheyenne asks if "anyone is there" after the giggling and cackling, Jackie said "no, that's why we're closing." (huge applause) To which Cheyenne replied, "just some over-acting, scene stealing, giggling and cackling mice."
Cheyenne gave a final speech and thanked Douglas Carter Beane (who was in the 4th row) and the producers (who were in the back). And Xanadu alumi and swings including Curtis Holbrook joined the cast onstage for a reprise of "xanadu."
That's all I can remember right now. And I also saw Cubby Bernstein and Max von Esson in the audience.
Was Kerry able to switch her schedule and do the final show today? I really hope so for her sake (she deserved to close the show) and for all the fans who I'm sure wanted to see her...no offense to Patti...she is awesome too!!!
It was really an amazing show... an amazing day !!!
Best of luck to the entire cast (and the crew of the Hayes !!)
To all of the friends that I have made (there are too many to mention-- but you all know who you are, and that I love you guys !!) during this run, its been a blast !!!
Thanks for welcoming me (and my family) into your lives !!!
thank you to everyone involved in xanadu...cast, crew, hh staff, and fans alike, that have brought a little bit of "magic" into my life.
the show was amazing today. from cheyenne's standing ovation, to jackie being jackie, and of course, kerry's "suspended in time" (her tears were heart wrenching). today surely was something truly special. and how great was it to see everyone from the past and present on stage at the end.
What a ride it has been! When the prospect this show was first announced, I was shocked that it was even a consideration, but after seeing Xanadu and it's incredible cast, I was truly hooked. Not only are these performers a very talented and funny cast, but they also happen to be very genuine and friendly people. I wish them all the best, and I look forward to seeing the Xanadu alumni in their future theatrical endeavers. Thanks for the gift of Xanadu!!!
The show today was just incredible. Every single cast member was in rare form. I'm so glad I got to see this show a few times and experience the pure joy that it is. My family recently went through a bit of a rough time and this show lifted our spirits in a way nothing else could. So thank you cast and crew of Xanadu for giving us this gift and may you all have all the luck and sucess possible in your future endeavors!
I almost can't believe this show is gone already....it left with little to no fanfare, I guess because they shortened the run after they announced the closing date. But still...anyway, sounds like a blast of a last show.
While I'm upset I could only go to the Oct. 12th show, the 3 times I had seen the show previously we're wonderful and I couldn't have asked for more fun in such a small theatre. I can't wait for the tour and I will gladly fuel any and all revival rumors.

I was there with my wife today, and we were in the same exact row as Cubby Bernstein (Row F Center Mezzanine)....what an amazing performance by the cast today!!! Cheyenne Jackson getting a standing ovation before he even said a word was incredible. The whole show was abolutely hilarious, and has such great fans. Went to John's Pizzeria after the show, and they were having their cast party upstairs. Just an all around amazing afternoon. I will miss Xanadu
I never got around to seeing Xanadu, but there was something oddly sexy about those posters of Kerry Butler with her head titled and Jackson in the background.
I was JUST about to post that Cubby was there! While I was buying a Xanadu shirt, the girl who was selling it to me said, "Oh my god--Cubby's here." I got a picture with him :). it's sad that I was expecting him to be rude... I sometimes forget that YouTube videos about Xanadu aren't real life...

I was able to go today -- my 14th time. Most of the other posters have caught the highlights, but when Jackie did the "Somewhere, Some Place" bit, she started with her arms on Cheyenne's waist, but by the end, she was in a kneeling position with her face in his crotch, sings "SOMEWHERE, SOMEHOW." The audience cracked up.
