THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE
Hands down. I buy the cast cd for most shows I see, listen to them a few times, then they become souveniers. But Millie is special. I just love it. I can't help but sing along whenever "Speedtest" comes around.
Other favorites:
THE PRODUCERS
HAIRSPRAY
MAMMA MIA
AVENUE Q (this one is growing on me).
I hope they come up with NEVER GONNA DANCE. The sampler is terrific.

I'd agree with Gladys and Sherman...
...If I could only pick 5 to take to that island with me
1. WEST SIDE STORY
2. GYPSY
3. FUNNY GIRL
4. CANDIDE
5. HELLO, DOLLY!
All original Broadway casts.
Then I'd sneak away swewn into my clothing:
6. CAROUSEL
7. SOUTH PACIFIC
8. LADY IN THE DARK (if not the reconstructed version I have w/Gertie and Danny Kaye, then the London production with Maria Friedman)
9. CAMELOT
10. MY FAIR LADY
11. KISS ME, KATE
12. HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING (the original cast w/Bobby Morse)
And if I can't take all 12, well then I'm not going!
Yours for musicals on Broadway!
