Favorite song in See What I Wanna See

I've been listening to the cd since i got it for my birthday and I was just wondering what everyone's favorite song in the show was.

re: Favorite song in See What I Wanna See

That's a tough question since all the "songs" are like a minute and a half long and flow right into each other! My favorite part on the recording is the first two minutes of "Rising Up/Finale." I remember seeing the show for the first time and when they all stood in that clump and sang those two minutes of music I remember thinking, "I would LOVE to have a recording of this!
Other favs, "See What I Wanna See," "No More," "She Looked at Me," and "There Will Be a Miracle."

I love "Rising Up/Finale", "There Will Be a Miracle", "Gloryday", and "Kesa" but the entire score is just great. It's tough to pick a favorite.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Honestly, the minute I mention one favorite, I'd have to mention a whole slew of others. The whole score is too consistently great for me to pick one song.

"Gloryday" or "There will be a Miracle," The latter rather reminds me of Marie Christine, just in its flavor.

Yeah, I hate that LaChiusa's songs are so short.

It's like, "C'mon dude! Let your ego roam and write a long song!"

Then we get "Tom" - and that's wonderful!

Just had to mention "Curiosity" as a song that slipped under my radar when I first saw the show, but is a standout on the recording. Definitely can't pick a favorite, though.

I love Kesa, Gloryday, Curiosity and There Will Be a Miracle. I curse myself everytime I listen to this recording for not going to see it when it was on. Bummer.

Now that I think of it, and sorry to thread jack but I think I heard somewhere that SWIWS was going to be either on PBS or on DVD-did I totally make that up in the hopes of seeing it?

The absolute favorites Kesa, SWIWS, Quartet: you'll go away with me reprise, No more, The Greatest Practical joke, Gloryday, There will be a miracle, Rising,up

There are a ton of great ones, that was a hard pick.

"Dont look at me that way Your ears and your eyes Got used to the lies But you're getting the truth today"

"Ah the city. So many lights you can actually pretend one of them is shining on you."

CLIFF: "There was a cabaret and there was a master of ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany - and it was the end of the world and I was dancing with Sally Bowles - and we were both fast asleep"

Everything on there is freaking amazing... but I especially like Coffee, No More, Greatest Practical Joke, Kesa/Morito, and the song when they all describe the twister... is that Rising Up?

The Greatest Practical Joke makes me laugh out loud. Its all soooooooooo true. Any song that marries my hatred of organised religion and rightwing whackjobs with musical theatre.... well its got to be a good thing.

I also LOVE "Coffee" esp. the ending where a BEAUTIFUL melody pops out at you sung incredibly by Ms. Menzel!

"I think I heard somewhere that SWIWS was going to be either on PBS or on DVD-did I totally make that up in the hopes of seeing it?"

Well, that certainly happened in my dreams. However in real life...No; there are no such plans.

re: Favorite song in See What I Wanna See

I really can't choose. Standouts - Coffee, No More, Gloryday, SWIWS, Kesa, and ... every other song. Big Money can get stuck in my head. I really love this score.

Does ANYONE know where I can find lyrics to these songs? I can't seem to find them ANYWHERE. And it's annoying the crap outta me.
