I cannot gush enough about Bare: A Pop Opera

It's about two high schoolers, one catholic school and a massive secret. It's a great coming of age story that really makes you think once you finish it. There's a recording of it on youtube with Payson Lewis and Jonah Platt and they portray the characters very well. If you're ever bored at home I'd definitely recommend a watch! 

Also Heathers has great music, but it's already been mentioned.

Dear Evan Hansen is my favorite musical.

There are a lot of great teen-centered musicals. Calvin Berger, Bare, Heathers, Spring Awakening, 13, etc.

As far as plays, I love This Is Our Youth and Dry Land.

Oh my gosh, I completely forgot about Bare: A Pop Opera. Such a fantastic, gorgeous show.

I'm a big fan of Band Geeks. It's like Glee, only about a high school marching band. All the teenage characters in the show have at least one great featured moment in a song or scene and everyone gets a ton of stage time.
