Has anyone seen the Fiddler On The Roof tour? Thoughts? I'm thinking about traveling to see it but I'd like to know what people think who have seen it.

I was able to catch the tour back in January of 2019. You can read my review through the link below.

It's non-union and a bus and truck so I'd imagine it's pretty low scale.

Yet it isn’t. I thought it was fantastic. Yehezkel Lazarov is worth seeing.

But this is the same production as the Danny Burstein one? Because that one was awful.

Anyone seen the non-equity Fiddler on the Roof tour recently? It’s coming through San Francisco for a week in late March. Jonathan Hasmonay plays Teyve now.

I saw it a couple weeks ago in Vancouver. It was completely sold out for the Saturday matinee I saw, and the audience just loved it, but maybe people are starved for entertainment after the Pandemic? Very simple set, and almost a bare stage for many scenes. It's the Bartlett Sher production, so the cast wheels set pieces on & off. The guy playing Teyve was ok, but he looks about 30 at most. Most of the cast are recent graduates doing their first tour, but they all have very good voices. It was fine. I got a seat up in the balcony for about $67 Canadian which is about $50US. I wouldn't want to pay more.
