I have no idea if this is finalized, but take a look:

Certainly seems reasonable.

This is actually happening? I LOVED the show at Encores, but I think it is a mistake to bring it to Broadway...

WHy can't the St. James keep a show?
First Gypsy closed Early
Then Desire under the elms
Now ppl are saying that this won't last.

Will they do student rush since the balcony prices are only $35?

Because they are booking shows that should be in smaller houses into the St. James...and the lack of demand drives down the average ticket price.

woah, I'm loving those Wednesday evening prices.

how much were the balcony seats for Gypsy and Desire Under the Elms? I thought they were roughly the same as this.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

Opening August 20th? Did we know this already?

Well, I obviously didn't.

These prices are kind of odd.

The cheapest seat at a Wednesday matinee performance is about the same price as the most expensive seat at a Wednesday evening. Weird.

Looks like I'll either be rushing or checking out a Wednesday evening.

how much were the balcony seats for Gypsy and Desire Under the Elms?

For Desire Under the Elms the balcony was closed off and for Gypsy I believe the balcony was around $42-47 (something like that).

The time to go is Wednesday night.

Personally, I would have much rather had NANETTE transfer, but FINIAN is just as good.

Are they going to make this a full fleshed-out production or is it going to be like Gypsy and be just a stock copy pretty much of the Encores production?

^ This is different. This is a transfer of a traditional Encores! concert. GYPSY was a transfer of the Summer Stars series. Regardless of the quality, Summer Stars uses sets. The Concerts don't.

It would be more appropriate to compare this transfer to the transfers of Chicago, Wonderful Town, and The Apple Tree.

We know the producers of Chicago kept it completely black box, not adding any sets. I think the other two may have added sets. Not completely sure. Though I know Wonderful Town kept the traditional Encores! look and kept the orchestra visible.

What are premium seating? Is it worth the $110 for a show?

Premium seating is generally center orchestra between the 5th and 10th rows, but of course varies from theater to theater and by production mandate.

this is awesome! I saw the show at city center and thought it would never transfer, I'm very curious to see it. I hope they keep the same cast or as much as possible
