Oooh, never seen this thread before! Mine was the Lion King. The first professional show that I saw the the national tour of The King and I with Hayley Mills.

My first show was the Broadway revival of '42nd Street', which didn't really get me into the theater thang (spelled that way purposely). I saw it when I was 12.

First broadway show was the revival of the King and I in 1996, I was 7. And the first tour I ever saw was Grease, also in '96.

First Professional tour - Pippin w/ Michael Rupert
I believe that Faith Prince had taken over the role of Anna in the King and I revival by Nov. '97.
The three Anna's during that run were
Donna Murphy - Tony award
Faith Prince
Marie Osmond

Phantom of the Opera, with Hugh Panaro, in January. After years of national tours I finally made it to the top! ....and then saw Brooklyn the next night:)

Cats. I was 8. A good first Broadway show. The first Broadway tour I saw was Beauty and the Beast. No idea how old I was then.

The Sound of Music 1998 revival (and i have a story that goes along)

I was 6 when i saw it and turning 7 on Tuesday, so when Marta said the line "i'm turning 7 on Tuesday", i kind of flipped out.

and marta was played by andrea bowen, whose now in desperate housewives(one of my favorite shows) and she plays julie,one of my favorite characters

did anyone understand what i just said?

Oh Mamie, fear not, - - after reading your bio - -you are not so
long in the tooth - - we have a lot in common, we love the theatre and
probably have seen the most amazing shows, My 2nd. show was the
original of " MY FAIR LADY " with all the original cast, was young but
LOVED and remeber EVERY SECOND of it!

The Producers with Brad Oscar and Andy Taylor. I saw it in Boston with the Broadway in Boston thing a few years ago. My first Broadway show in NYC was The Lion King.
