Is anyone planning on going to Follies on closing night? what time are you thinking of getting there?

Ten minutes before the curtain rises.
I'm confused as to why one would get there early. It's not like there's a party beforehand. Get there when you would normally arrive for a show. Plan to stay for a while afterward for speeches, tears, etc. but definitely nothing before the show.
I'm planning on getting rush for closing and getting there very early. I've got some friends rushing through out the week so I'm not sure yet what time I'll go..... but judging by what the rush was like today I'm thinking 6 or 7am.... maybe earlier

Was the rush busy today? I was hoping to get rush tickets for the Wednesday evening show, but I don't get into the city until 7:30 that morning.

There may be a pre-show feature in which they show the video of Bernadette falling.

I totally meant for getting rush tickets. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Two different Box office employees said that there will be no rush on Sunday because the sales are so strong, and one employee told my friend today that there will be. I am going to try probably 8/930am since it doesn't open till 12
I'll be there as well. I saw this in DC and want to see it before it closes. I figured I'd go big and see the closing show from the second row.
Do we know for sure there will be a rush on the 22nd? Me and a couple of friends wants to rush it then, but if there won't be rush, I'll rush it Sat instead because I haven't seen it yet and would love to see it before it closes. Thanks for any info. :)
For those asking about rush for the closing performance:
Right now, it's purely a matter of availability. Technically right now because there are enough seats left, they may have them. However, it's likely that it will be close to - if not actually - selling out by Sunday and therefore rush won't be available. Your best bet if you want to make sure on seeing the show is to go on Saturday.
That being said, it can't hurt to try.
I'll be there. Can't wait for this damn thing to close so that my bank account won't be in the negative anymore...
Considering it's the last performance, is it safe to assume that the cast will come out to the stage door? I've seen the show five times (all matinee performances) so I haven't stayed to see if anyone, and I was hoping to do so after the final performance!

They're definitely not selling rush tickets on Sunday. They even told us they might not sell them tomorrow but to call at 10:00 am to see if they are or not. I'm thinking of rushing tomorrow anyway.
There are still 370 seats available for the closing performance. They really think they are going to sell all of those by Sunday morning?
Since when does the BO ever tell you to call them to ask about student rush tickets.....

No more rush for tonight. Box Office was offering a discount code in place of rush tickets, though.
Tickets are being sold for tomorrow's performance (40% off) at the South Street Seaport TKTS booth. I imagine this means that tickets are also available at the Brooklyn booth right now, and will likely be available in Times Square tomorrow.
I ended up buying a discounted orc ticket for $85. phew I feel better having it and not having to wake up early!
I asked the BO guy whether he thought they were still going to sell rush tomorrow and he said probably but he really couldn't say for sure.

I seriously wasn't lying about anything...I rushed today and got tickets to the 2:00 show. It was wonderful. I was calling because I wanted to make sure they were selling them, I didn't want to waste my time. Sorry if the information was wrong, it's just what I was told.

well musicismylifeee don't apologize! All you can give people is honesty, and if that's not enough than oh well! You know you weren't lying!

I mean I moved up to the third row in the orchestra for the second act. I had an amazing time and only had to pay for a rush ticket. People can say I'm lying about the whole situation but I wasn't. I don't care. That's what the people on the phone were telling me.
I bought two orchestra tickets using the discount code! I'm bringing the boyfriend - he knows little about theatre, but boy is that about to change! I'm psyched for tomorrow.
