THAT'S A BIG NO-NO, YOU GUYS...

That is the most ignorant review I have ever read.
Is Sunday like Sweeney? No.
What should Lestat be like B & B?
Wow, what a BAD review.
Yeah, I don't really care that they didn't like it. It's just crappily written.
Heh. NICE job, Fox. NICE. Let's see how long this thing stays up before someone screams at 'em about it...
Kay, the Thread-Jacking Jedi
Quando omni flunkus moritati (When all else fails, play dead...)
"... chasin' the music. Trying to get home."
Peter Gregus: "Where are my house right ladies?!"

lol, even though I thought it's bad, I wouldn't have described it that bad. But I guess most other reviews will be a little bit more outweighed. A have the slight feeling this critic hated the show long before he got into the theatre...

Fox News never reviews theatre, to my knowledge, so I guess they don't know the rules about when reviews are to be made available to the public. And actually, this looks more like a "review" by a gossip/entertainment columnist -- that's tossed in with other news items he's covering -- than a formal official review. You can be sure that he and his editors will be getting a phone call from LESTAT's publicists today informing them that they made a big no-no.
I couldn't tell if that's an actual review (I don't think so) or an editorial column. It certainly skates a fine line...
Leave to Fox to let some homo-obsessed doofus handle their theater coverage.
And a note to aspiring writers: If you ever find yourself starting a sentence with the imperative verb "Imagine..." erase it, and start over again.
Wow, they certainly stomped all over Lestat, didnt they...
It's a big NO NO to do that, even if I didn't care for the show. Although it just reaffirms my opinion of the show.

The truth always hurts
Me---ouch!
The quality of the show is not the point to me. What bothers me is:
a) It's a huge breach in SOP.
b) It's more softly written than a freebie newspaper in Kansas.
c) The main theme is: The people in the show act like big queers, so it's icky, icky, icky.
I agree that it does seem to have some homophobic undertones throught the piece.

"Somehow, Elton and Bernie have managed to write an entire show without any songs."
I wish I had written that line!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I agree that it does seem to have some homophobic undertones throught the piece."
SOME???? The author of this piece is channeling Fred Phelps!
So, any of you e-mailed them yet?
Well I wouldnt say that the whole thing is saying "Gays are bad!" But it does seem to have an alternate agenda beyond critiquing the work.
Brokeback in the hed, homoerotic in the lede. Even John Simon is more subtle in his homo-fixation.
As inappropriate and poorly written as the entire thing is... this single line:
"You’ve got to hear and see their scenes together, professing eternal love and cooing like blood-drenched love pigeons."
Not only made me spill my diet coke, but made me want to see Carolee cooing like a love pigeon. Blood drenched, at that!

Just watch FOX NEWS for an hour and you will clearly see it is slanted way to the right. They manage to inject their political views into almost everything they cover.
Yeah, let's be clear here: Would it have been written/published if it wasn't to dish Elton, gay sensibility (BROKEBACK, please)and general show queen fervor?
It's like when FOX got so excited that CRASH beat BROKEBACK at the Oscars. The idiots who gloated didn't stop to think that CRASH has something far closer to a "left wing agenda" (read Hagis's interviews--his next project is a frontal asssault on the run-up to Iraq) than anything in the apolitical Ang Lee film. But in today's cultural wars climate, anyting gay-tinged is fodder for right wing venom.
WHAT???
Gaston isn't Gay?
Don't tell LeFou.
Although I am not a fan of the heaping pile known as LESTAT, it really isn't fair to the show for this review to be published already. Given his last paragraph, he seems to know a little about theater....shame on him.
I e-mailed the editor. Waiting for a response.
