I remember a few years ago, there were several shows that had Friday matinees after Memorial Day.

I saw Beautiful on a Friday matinee.

Playbill has a page with the weekly schedule of all broadway shows, but none list Friday matinees.

Is that a thing of the past?  Or is playbill behind on their schedule updates?

ErinDillyFan, You need to check the Playbill page next week.  They only post the schedule for the current week.  If you want and have the time, go on the Telecharge/Ticketmaster site for each show you are interested in.  That is how I found out that last week, SpongeBob had a Thursday matinee.  Although I didn't get to see it.

I find this site - http://www.newyorkcitytheatre.com/ - VERY helpful in checking to see what is playing on specific days and specific times. Especially for things out of the extreme norm like shows that play on Sunday and Monday evenings or the odd day matinee scheduled due to holidays and the like.

I just checked the above noted site for shows on Sunday, June 3, and it indicates performances of Carousel at both 1:30pm and 7:30pm. It even has a working link to purchase tickets for the 7:30pm show, but Telecharge says that there is no longer an evening performance on that date.

Hello!

Does anyone know if any shows (Broadway or Off Broadway) will be offering a matinee performance on Friday, December 7th? I recognize that Friday matinees are rare, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you in advance for any help!

Doubtful....but you might check Fiddler on the roof, they have an odd schedule. .and th he adds how is terrific

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Not that week (with the exception of Fiddler at noon), but this week due to Thursday being dark for most shows, they are offering a Friday matinee for many Broadway shows.

Thank you for the help! I realized also that the Rockettes will have a 2 PM show that day, so we may try for that.

Thank you again!

I saw THE Rockettes show this week and It's sensational. They're even giving free Santa hats to everyone this year!

Just for a handful of the November performances... Glad you enjoyed it! Husband and I are taking our 5-y.o. in a couple of weeks.
