Oooh, I didn't know this was being made into a movie.
My local professional theatre is doing the play this year, I'm so excited.

Oh my god, this show has everything! Half naked guys and girl on girl action! - [title of show]

Langella's accent comes off as a bit British.
But the trailer looks fantastic.

Posted: 8/20/08 at 10:18pmIt's about damn time! This movie was finished entirely last year, but then they decided to wait until the next Oscar season to release it.

The credits at the end of the trailer have Michael Sheen's name before Frank Langella's. Is it really possible that they are being credited in that order? I'm pretty sure that Frank Langella was top-billed on Broadway. Is Michael Sheen a bigger name internationally?
I just looked at imdb.com to see the cast list -- I didn't know that Patty McCormack (of "The Bad Seed") is playing Pat Nixon. Kate Jennings Grant is in the movie, too.

I would love it if Frank Langella became another name on the Oscar/Tony LIST!!!
This movie will become an example of the perfect way of taking a stage adaptation and turning it into a movie!

This looks so good. I can't wait. I was a moron who didn't get around to seeing this onstage when I had the chance.
I wonder if somewhere in LA there is a film chat board with people bitching about another film being made out of a stage production. ha.

You are so right, but I do have to say that this is a piece that is so well written that it would look good in any medium (film and theater).
When I read the play I was imagining every scene in my head as how it would look on film. Then I re-read it again and saw every scene in my head how it would look and feel on the stage. I think it's one of those pieces that just adapts well. Most plays are not like that.

I know exactly what you mean, I mean look at the "The Queen." Peter Morgan KNOWS both mediums, so I have no fears whatsoeva!
I do fear that the "Rabbit Hole" movie will come across as a Lifetime Movie of the month, and that scares the hell out of me.

Oh, God, finally, finally I got to see the trailer.
I followed this movie in imdb since it was announced. There was so little update in that imdb page. I even checked the message board every couple of days.
Thank you to finally put the trailer up. The most anticipated movie for me this year.
