Per Pattis tweet,
“Tonight #FrozenBroadway had a technical difficulty and had to stop for 8 minutes.
This incredibly lucky audience was then treated to 8 minutes of genius stand up comedy from @greg_hildreth as Olaf.
WE HAD BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR LITERAL YEARS AND IT WAS AMAZING”
Was anyone there to witness this?!

According to Greg's video on his IG story, it was right after In Summer. He joked, "My summer fantasy might had been too much."

That makes sense then as to why he did 8 mins of standup.
When I saw the show a few weeks ago, they also had to stop the show for tech issues (scene after Elsa leaves Arendelle for the mountains... just when Sven/Kristoff enters the stage.) However for us, itwas more like a 7-8 minute added intermission (after the announcement Sven/Kristoff just walked offstage and then the screen was brought down.)
Woudl much rather listen to Greg do standup for sure lol!

Posted: 1/20/19 at 11:42pmI was there and it was absolutely hilarious! Right after in summer the last piece would not go down back into the floor for the scene change. This poor stage hand named Mike was out doing his best trying to get it fixed in front of a massive audience so Greg came back out with olaf and did some stand up. He was gunna sing one of the cut songs but they didnt have the sheet music. Then got an audience request for defying gravity but he didnt end up singing it and he did an impression of a tyrannsarous Rex with the Olaf puppet. They eventually got it back up and working again and we all cheered on Mike for fixing it. A very fun Saturday night on broadway!

Why I love live theater! Give you an exciting story to tell later.
I was at a performance of Bye Bye Birdie with John Stamos. The set had pieces that would track in and out. The living room stalled and then the railroad station dropped down. There was a couch and chair in the middle of the train platform. They stopped the show and Stamos came out and told us there would be a delay. Soon this gruff voice yells at him----turns out it was Don Rickles. Who continued to heckle Stamos. Bob Saget was with Rickles and ended up on stage cracking jokes with Stamos.
At the recent Cats revival, I looked up and saw what looked like a stage hand near the car lights. Next he took his shirt off and was fanning something. Turns out the light had caught fire and he was trying to put it out. Meanwhile the cats kept dancing on the stage. :)

At least there was one enjoyable moment for the audience during this dreadful show then!

When I saw 20th Century, there was a set malfunction right before Kristin's introduction. Peter and Michael came out and had nice conversations with the audience, asking where they live and such. They joked around that they were the opening act for Kristin and that she will buy pizza for everyone
