Full List of Fringe Encore Series Shows!

The list looks just about right based on what I've seen personally and heard from others, with the exception of 3boys being absent.

By far the best, and most original show I saw, and I'm shocked that it wasn't extended. (they were sold-out and turned away a ton of people the night I saw it)

luvtheEmcee, it could be a scheduling issue for Veritas. Perhaps cast members already had other work lined up and are unavailable to do an extension. It happens quite often.

I'm happy that most of my favorites that I saw are included in the list, and that I have another chance to see some that I'm sorry I had to miss.

For anyone curious: I loved GETTING EVEN WITH SHAKESPEARE and JURASSIC PARQ. I saw BUNKED and thought it was overhyped and the show itself was cliche and overall just okay. Even though it was pretty consistently sold out, I'm frankly a little surprised it was chosen for the Encore series. No, not surprised -- disappointed.

I heard really good things about SOUTH PATHETIC, AMSTERDAM ABORTION SURVIVOR, JUST IN TIME, and LOST AND FOUND, and I hope I can see all four during the Encore series.

I've heard some talk that Veritas might be getting picked up by someone commercially.

How do we get tix to the encore shows?

I have friends who were involved in VERITAS. Here's the scoop:

Everyone realizes that this play has enormous potential. ENORMOUS. However, everyone involved with it realizes "it isn't there yet". It has been withdrawn so it can be revised and worked on.

Don't worry, you'll be seeing it again in the near future.

Can't recommend the HURRICANE KATRINA COMEDY FESTIVAL enough. And at the 300-seat Lortel there should be plenty of last-minute seats available.

Funny, I saw both Bunked and Jurassic Parq and felt that nether were anywhere near as good as Pope. However, there has been more press and "talk" about those two musicals and very little about Pope.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both Jurassic Parq (cute idea) and Bunked (a bit bland). But, the music in Pope is far superior, the script far more clever and funny, the ensemble cast perfectly in character and entertaining, just an all around better show with far more potential. Pope could easily become the next big "cult" musical with a little tightening up. I just don't understand why it hasn't gotten more press. The reviews I have seen have all been terrific. In fact a good friend of mine who knows I am a fan of the show forwarded this review to me the other day. This guy really hit the nail on the head with this review.

Part of the problem may be the video clips they have on the site above. They are obviously from an earlier incarnation of the show and don't do it justice at all. It's unfortunate.

I agree; Pope! needs more work, but it could be a gem.

Was VERITAS actually good? The story is interesting, but it seemed sold-out before it even started, so I didn't know if the hype was justified.
