In light of the threads about Cheno and O'Hara...
Which roles do you see Foster taking in the future? She recently said that she's done playing ingenue roles, so I think her future career could be very interesting.

I've said for a while now that I want to see her do ONCE UPON A MATTRESS very badly.

She could do Beth Malone's role in the Fun Home tour.

Eva Peron in EVITA. I could see it going very very wrong, but I could also see it being very very brilliant.

Jordan, the part seems to be written for her. In some ways, Tesori wrote her a version of Winifred in SHREK. She would be a total knockout with that material.
I wanna see her in one of those grand lead roles like Reeno Sweeney.
And it would never ever happen but her Roxie Hart would be out of the world.

Exactly, that's why I want to see what she would do with it. She's honestly the only person I have any interest in seeing do that role right now. And it's about time for a revival since it's been almost 2 decades (Damn, I feel old) since the last revival.

I completely agree I can't imagine anyone else who could pull it off or, like you said, get me interested in seeing a revival of the show. Pair her with someone like her Casey Nicholaw and I'm in.

Get Donna Murphy as the Queen and then I'd really be interested.

"Colin Donnell as Dauntless?"
Or John Cariani?

Annie in "Annie Get Your Gun"? I don't know. I really like Sutton in original work which she mainly does. But I want her to be tapping again (which I realize is not in AGYG). Maybe if they make another Gershwin/Porter/Berlin/Kern type musical like "Crazy For You" or "Nice Work if You Can Get It," that would be a good match. That way there will definitely be tapping. Isn't there a Fred and Ginger type musical in the works?

I think Colin Donnell would make a better Sir Harry. Dauntless is dopey, and Colin is too suave, IMO. *swoon*

I think Sutton would have been amazing if she played Billie in Nice Work

I think Annie and Once Upon A Mattress would be great for her!

Actually, she WOULD be a fabulous Flora the Red Menace at Encores!.
After her Violet, though, I'd like to see her in more dramatic roles more often. I always found her too tap-happy for me, but I gained a lot of admiration for her after VIOLET that I'd hate for her to resort back to Reno Sweeney-land.

I heard Happily Ever After on Sirius XM the other day and all I could think was how perfect Sutton would be for the role. It's not just her voice, but it's the delivery. She'd be great in it and it's such a fun show.

Isn't OUAM going Off-Broadway this fall with Jackie Hoffman?

Or they can make a younger the musical
and she can reprise her role.

Sutton has said in quite a few interviews that her Broadway return is soon - or as she puts it - "there are irons in the fire." Anyone have any insight to what she's hinting at? Is it a Wild Party transfer?
