Mark Rosenblatt's play Giant, currently running on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre and a 2026 Tony nominee for Best Play, has recouped its $5.6 million Broadway capitalization.
The production has recouped just 10 weeks into its planned 16-week limited engagement on Broadway, having played only seven shows a week from March through May. It is the fastest announced recoupment of the 2025-2026 season.

Lithgow must be taking a lower salary than I would’ve thought. Good for the whole team, though.

I was actually surprised to hear about this one because I thought bringing most of the British cast over would’ve raised the price tag. I actually wouldn’t even think Lithgow possible taking a lower salary would matter since the show has been doing blockbuster number for a play dealing with controversial subject matter

I was surprised that it recouped faster than Every Brilliant Thing and cost slightly less to capitalize.
