Wickedrocks - I heard she will probably not be back all weekend. Of course that could change.
Anakela - OMG the lips thing. Hysterical.

Actually, Wishing Wounds, your title IS misleading. If you had put "going on AS", it wouldn't have been. I just saw the show last weekend, and it didn't come to me justlikethat.
Hope Stephanie's back soon!

I spoke to a producer at the stage door tonight. He said Stephanie was put on vocal rest tonight. She had seen a doctor, and the doctor said everything was ok.

Do the Wicked fangirls really scream when SJB says "No good deed goes unpunished"? Is this a common occurance?
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.

To be fair, it wasn't just some pockets of fangirls that did it when I saw the show. Both times, nearly the entire audience had a good laugh at the line. So either they were nearly all "fangirls" or people really do find it amusing.
I agree the line itself isn't anything special, but the reaction isn't that surprising and not just limited to fangirls considering how many people have seen, heard or know of Wicked. I think its more the coincidence of a former Elphaba saying the line in a show where she's opposite a former Glinda that people just find funny- after all, the fact the were both in Wicked is right in the Playbill. I think that response will die down eventually, or at least if the show lasts long enough for SJB and Hilty to leave. It doesn't really bother me.

The response did die down during the L.A. run.

They could easily have one of the other two say it; the line itself isn't particularly "in character" for Judy as opposed to Violet or Doralee.
It only bothered me because it drowned out the next line. Guess I'll finally get to hear it on the cast recording.
Glad to hear Steph is back!

^^^
The line was originally Megan's but Stephanie mentioned it was one of her lines in Wicked so Dolly gave it to her. The joke is intentional.

It's amusing in the same way Roz singing the lyric "I Will Always Love You" is amusing. The characters are obviously making reference to past songs sung by people involved with the show. It meant to be an inside joke to those who get the connection, and is SUPPOSED to get a laugh.

Plenty of audience members laughed at the line tonight, many of whom did not look like Wicked fangirls.
