Glina - Kristin or Jennifer?

Since I'm new to this message board I realize that this question has been probably been asked a million times already, so forgive me.

But I was just in New York and saw Wicked and was surprised by how many people told me that they thought Jennifer was a much better Glinda than Kristin.

I realize that it might be hard to compare the two styles, but does anyone have thoughts on who they enjoyed in the part more?

re: Glina - Kristin or Jennifer?

You spelled G(a)linda wrong.

I have seen both and they were both GREAT in their own way.

I am almost 100% sure there is a thread on this.
And I will give you a totally unbiased answer (hehe):
Jennifer is so much better then Kristin.

I think Jennifer is a much better G(a)linda. She is just so hilarious. Her comedic timing is impecable. I enjoyed her A LOT better than Kristin!!!
I'm so happy to see people like Jen:)
What is your dream role?
My dream role would be to be myself. To be performing at the Hollywood Bowl and to have an audience there just to see me, as Stephanie. They are there because they like what I do as a singer, an artist and a person (the last being the most important). I enjoy escaping and portraying other characters, but to be accepted and wanted as yourself... that's amazing! --Stephanie J. Block Just one of the many reasons I admire and respect Stephanie!!

re: Glinda - Kristin or Jennifer?

They are both good Galindas in different ways. I loved Kristin in the sense that she was always so perky and bubbly and energetic. she had a real talent for comedy but at the same time she could kind of wilt into this sad person. Plus her voice can just wow anyone. JLT portrays Galinda as a more mature sober person I think, still popular and peppy but a little calmer and less childish.

JLT above Cheno. Don't get me wrong, they were both great.

LBB... however... I liked her in 'Hairspray', but she jsut didn't 'wow' me when I saw her. I dunno, she just seemed a little off.

Jennifer Laura Thompson. Kristin was good, but I prefer JLT. She made lines that weren't even written to be funny hilarious.

I really loved Kristin as Sally Brown. She was so good in My Knew Philosophy. Hilarious!

Kristin times a thousand! I don't like Jennifer that much. Laura was great too. Not familiar with Megan.

re: Glinda - Kristin or Jennifer?

Kristin with Jennifer trailing right behind

~I felt that Kristin made a better entrance(better opera voice)
~Popular you cant compare because they were very different in their own special way(both EXCELLENT btw)
~Kristin told Madame Morrible off more funny by making funny hand gestures
~ Jennifer was so hysterical with flipping her hair and the jokes
though i thought in the start of the show she was trying to have her voice so high pitched like cheno's, when cheno doesnt have to try to have that squeaky high voice lol
Jennifer at curtain call was funny by announcing her pink and green cake recipe featured in the wicked cookbook. and danced all the way down to the floor of the stage as the curtain was closing on her face. very funny
