Just saw a GV commercial on tv starring the ever popular Mary Debenham(?)from the Dodgers touting GV as B'way's new hit!!!!!!
Even people who dont frequent theater that much are aware of the scathing reviews this received so why waste $$$ on NYC spots?
There is a quick shot of tickets being pushed through the BO window slot and all I could think of was that I hope they are comps. Talk about throwing $$$$ down the toilet- Pitiful

I just saw this. they describe it as broadways biggest hit. i feel so bad for the cast though. its gotta be hard
I just hate how the Dodgers do that for all of their shows, but the general public doesn't know that the Dodgers pay for it and that's it not a real newscast, which it seems to be. It's smart, on their part, because to non-theatre fans it's more effective than a regular commercial, but it irritates me to no end.
Didn't they do one for 42nd St. when it was still open?
i loved the show...it was a lot of fun.Why r people trying to say negative things about it on this website...u evil queens!!!

The Dodgers to commercials for all of their shows.
Muscle and Kudzu: We weren't saying anything bad about the show, you guys really need a reality check. You're acting like there's only a handful of people that dislike GOOD VIBRATIONS. I haven't seen it, but what I found irritating about the commercial is that they make it seem as if GOOD VIBRATIONS is the greatest musical to ever open on Broadway and that it got unanimously amazing reviews - both of which those who haven't seen the show have a pretty good idea of. That's all we were saying. No one is "trying to say negative things" about it on this website - we're not TRYING, we ARE in some spots. That's like saying "Why r theatre reviewers trying to say negative things about DRACULA in their newspapers?" Come on. Are you 7? And just because some people we're talking about a bad show and a cheesy commercial means we're all evil queens? Go stick your head in the oven.
LOL-----if u just do what the critics tell u to do...you are 7yo mentally ...go see what they tell u to.
I don't, I see everything that opens. Know what you're talking about before you say something that makes you look stupid. I will see GOOD VIBRATIONS anyway in they same way that I saw DRACULA, URBAN COWBOY, DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, and almost every other show that got unanimously terrible reviews. Go practive your grammar and learn how to atleast constuct a comprehensible sentence before you waste any more time on here.
my writing is the way it is!!! period...anyhow....i respect what u say becuz at least u go to see the shows.....some people just talk and they dont know what they talk about...they just read the reviews and that is retarded....i didnt dislike "dracula" at all....and "bombay dreams" was one of the best shows ive ever seen....and they got bad reviews.
and by the way...i speak many languages...and i do what i can with my english!
Well then I'm sorry for insulting your writing, I just took it as you being a 12 year old punk.
I said I see everything, I didn't say I liked everything. I hated DRACULA, I felt BOMBAY DREAMS was mediocre, but I actually loved DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES. Seriously, if BOMBAY DREAMS is one of the best shows you've ever seen, look into some other shows - INTO THE WOODS, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, NINE, SWEENEY TODD, etc.
munkustrap...i liked "into the woods" and i have seen all the shows on broadway right now...and i would still say "bombay" is one of the best ones.My all time favorite was"kiss of the spider woman" tho.

Munk, Don't get so upset. If you go back through the threads (don't really do it) you would notice that GV has been bashed since before it was even in previews. It is far from the greatest thing to hit Broadway, I think it is an enjoyable show that made me happy when I left. I don't think anyone thinks, nor ever thought it would be the greatest thing on broadway. I really don't care if, or think EVERYONE should like it, I just wish some people would be a little more constructive in their comments and at the very least see it first before judging it (Not necessarily talking about you).
I was not AMENing the "evil queens" comment just the negative things on the website comment.
I'm beginning to sense that we have moved beyond friendly banter, or any type of banter and gone to out and out arguing. I really don't want to do that with you. I'm going to not be 7, and just silently disagree with you.
kudzu...u read my mind...and know how to write better than i...lol
Well it wasn't silent, because you do disagree with me....
But don't make those of us who dare to be moved at a show, or see a show that makes us think and be inspired look like idiots. It's also called "good taste." But after I see GV, I will report back.

munku....let me know what u thought about the show...when u see it. and go with an open mind...dont think about the bad reviews.just go and try to have fun...i dont think its a deep musical...but its fun...and something new.
i have seen "wicked" and own the cd...what did u say about it?
Nothing, it wasn't directed towards you. I will definitely tell you what I think, although generally I enjoy deep and meaningful shows a lot more than just bland stuff.
Are you saying"Wicked" is deep???
No, I'm saying the opposite.
