It seems to me that people are just trying to show off "connections," some of which may not even exist. I have friends in Broadway shows, and I have friends who work behind the scenes on Broadway shows, and if they tell me something like that, I KNOW, and I mean KNOW, it is for me and me alone, and I wouldn't dare share it. But seriously, when people start saying something along the lines of I checked my sources about his sources etc, I think it is getting a little, umm, overblown?

I'm confused...first this person was incorrect about the opening date, which was last week. If they really knew someone in the show, wouldn't they know that February 2nd wasn't going to be the correct opening date? So is it going to close or not?

The show's press opening is still February 2.
They had their opening party on the Jan. 27th
My friend did say that the cast was told that if they don't receive good reviews on Feb 3, the show will close before the end of Feb. No notices have been posted, YET.

Tommyboyz- We get the point. In fact, we got the point weeks ago. You and your so-called "friend" hate the show. I think it's totally and completely unprofessional for you to post this stuff. Didn't you say you were a struggling actor? Do you really hope your "friend" becomes a struggling actor too? Some friend you are. My word are you a negative person.

I agree with you, my guess is that Tommyboyz auditioned for GV and didn't get it, but I wouldn't want to start any rumours. THE CAST WAS NOT TOLD THAT THE SHOW WOULD CLOSE FOR ANY REASON.

One of my best friends is in the cast and I asked her if this was truw and she said that it was SO NOT TRUE. So someone is spreading lies and propaganda for whatever reason.

Anyone who has seen this, a question about two of the gals.
How are Milena Govich and Allison Spratt?
Both are former 'Sally Bowles.' Govich did the B'way production and Allison played the role on the non-equity NETworks tour.

Hate to join in with "the Sallys Bowles in the surf" chat, love that, but I too spoke to a few cast members last night, nothing was told to them regarding closing, as a matter of fact they are rather positive but at the same time mindful of the flaws and of course wanting it to stay open for some time , because an unhappy actor is understandable, but an actor who wants his paycheck to end is just plain stupid. And there are no stupid actors...right?

Please Poppita, like most of the cast is going to go around telling people the show is closing! I believe the inital poster. GV will be gone by the end of February. Just watch!
